Edifier isn't too bad - I have the S350DB my self and quite enjoy the product.

TBH I'd rather use the S350DB or S360DB than this, although I'd bet it sounds the goods.

    • Agree with Edifier, been using the R1280DB for the past 4 years and do recommend the brand.

Interesting to see how is this compares to the Creative Stage as a compact soundbar thou.

    • 350db is like double the price of this ain't it? Seems like it'd be great value if it sounds anywhere as good.

      • +5

Edifier is definitely 'up there' in terms of audio quality to price ratio - ESPECIALLY when the price is taken into consideration

Are my $299, 2.1 S350DBs better than a seperate $1000 amp, $1500 bookshelves, and a $800 subwoofer? No, of course not.

Are they better than the Logitech Z623s anything else that's available for less than $1000? You sure bet your a*se they are… and the S360DBs are even better than the S350DBs

        • I literally just went and bought a set of the Z623s off FB Marketplace this morning for $80 for my PC as I was running a set of Bose 2ch Companion 2s and need some bass. Log onto here and see this deal and cry, especially when I see your comment

          • @Pub Envelope: You can resell it mate, don’t worry about it. That’s the beauty of marketplace.

          • @Pub Envelope: Yeah I (profanity) up too and bought a 'brand new' pair of z623s off of ebay for $170 in October 2021 that had the subwoofer grille missing… :/

2 weeks later I saw the Edifier S350DB on sale for $299 and I did not hesitate

            • @BargainHunterJohnnyB: Lol grill-less was the special edition… ;) *cough

I owned a set of these z623s years ago and absolutely adored them. They did have some sort of interference that you could hear if you weren't playing anything however, and ultimately ended up failing when the right speaker gave out. This set I picked up today are flawless, so I don't think I can actually complain for $80!

          • @Pub Envelope: Put them back on marketplace, sell, no more tears, buy this. Win!

        • I only wish Edifier would release these speakers with ARC input so I can replace my Yamaha soundbar with them.

Have used Edifier TWS earbuds for years and stand by them as dailies

  • What inputs does it have?

      • +4

I did Google it before I asked, and the reason I asked was because it said it supported TV's and consoles.

Not all of them support or have optical, and can't connect to the device, so I was asking if it had any other way.

        • -7

No you didn't, because if you had, you would have come across the listing on the manufacturer's website which lists it's input methods.

yeah it's actually quite good TBH, especially for the price.

Edifier's mid-range drivers and tweeters are really solid IMO.

  • +2

Would this be okay as a TV soundbar type setup? (For a cheap tv)

    • No hdmi so you'll likely be using two remotes to control audio and TV. Presuming your TV has HDMI ARC anyway…

    • Really depend on how cheap the TV is. what's the price bracket

    • -2

      As above.

  • Hmmm. $17.95 shipping to metro Sydney.

    • +1

Mine was $37.95 shipping to rural Vic lol, makes it a bit less appealing

  • +1

Edifier good cheap headphones and wireless gaming speakers

    • And amazing high end speakers too!

  • +9

Ordered one cheers, and with their strange shipping rates I paid $20 for Uber delivery which was dispatched in 10 mins so will have it in under an hour from order, 2023 is wild.

    • +2

Saw this option the other day too, simultaneously impressed and disgusted.

It's the "Right tf now" option - for when Amazon's "Tomorrow by 8pm, even on a public holiday" isn't quite fast enough.

      • I ordered a couple of monitor lights from Amazon 11am yesterday and they were delivered by 5pm, on Easter Sunday. Loving it tbh.

    • @dangry how are the speakers, have they arrived yet?

      • They have arrived, easy to setup for a PC and work well. Not really ready to give a more thorough review right now.

    • Meanwhile, now only auspost appears for me for $25 and delivery for Friday.

  • The Razer Leviathan is great. I have it and it is powerful as but pricier ofcourse.

    • This would be similar ?

      • -2

This is the poor man's version. If you have a better budget around $200ish you can get the Razer through ebay plus sales.

        • Razer Leviathan + sub you are looking over $350, not $200.

          • @congo: I paid $220 after cashback and sales. If you want one badly enough you'll find it for a good price.

            • @thousandsuns: link to past deal?

              • @congo: There is no link, mate. I hunted it down myself and bought it. Use the eBay sales and wait for it to drop further and stack it with cash back. Razer stuff is always discounted on eBay.

  • Any way to mount the bar to a wall mounted TV?

    • +2

It doesn't appear to have Arc so you'd need to have a separate volume control for the soundbar and your TV. Much better getting something with Arc like a Yamaha YAS-108B or 109 or whatever they're up to at this point

    • Why in the heck would you want to buy a $150 speaker to mount on a wall for a TV?

  • Would you use this type of set up for pc gaming in FPS's?

    • +3

Sure could, but if you're looking for something where you can hear behind you etc you're probably better off getting a set of good headphones.

  • +2

Shop around - for those looking for a PC and/or TV solution the Creative Stage V2 (comes with ARC) for $179.95 with free shipping may be more suitable:

  • I have a Logitech G560 RGB PC Gaming Speakers , will Edifier G7000 sound better?

    • I used bing chatgpt to compare to other models and it did a good job

  • Would these be a step up from my old Creative Gigaworks T40s? They have 4x 2.5" drivers and were actually pretty decent for their day, only lacking a dedicated subwoofer

    • I ended up buying the Edifier R1700BT bookshelf speakers for $120. No sub but I'd rather put the money into the main drivers, figured they should give better overall sound quality

  • I have the Edifier s2000 pro connected to my PC, they sound amazing. Good brand at amazing value.

  • I am getting charged $34 for delivery to sydney metro and there is none in stock in NSW it seems.

  • Thanks op. Picked one up and effectively paid $125 after $10 EBworld birthday voucher and 20x everyday rewards points for ultimate gift cards from Woolies. They sound awesome, especially compared to the speakers in the Philips monitor I am using.
