Pretty sad that all melbourne flights need to go through Sydney

  • Not the best travelling weather in HK. You will feel like in SG.

It's a scam. You only get to use it one way.Ask a street vendor what's in the dumplings and the CCP arrest you for espionage.

    • Show us in the doll where Xi Jinping touched you?

Sorry I did look - they just weren't very good at around $1285. There are a few on Singapore Airlines in the same period between $800 - $900

  • hmm.. want to see if there's any discounts in late August?

  • Anyone know if their HK lounge has reopened ??? It was really good last time I used it but it was before Covoid.

  • the good old days pre 2019 - $500 return hong kong ex adelaide with Virgin.

Didn't know how good we had it.

Virgin stopped doing all flights to hong kong i think. Anyone know if they plan to do it in the future?

Virgin will unlikely do any Hong Kong flights as they now only have 737-800 and 737-Max8
both flights max distance cannot fly between Australia major cities to Hong Kong
directly flight to Hong Kong will probably need fleet such as A330, A350, B777 or B787

Besides, currently flights to Hong Kong has not been fully resumed yet which explains the expensive air fares
Cathay Pacific used to have 3 flights daily Hong Kong <-> Melbourne / Sydney but they only have 1 at the moment
Qantas used to have 2 flights daily too but now only 1 per day and only via Sydney

      • wow you seemed to know a lot about this, thanks for sharing! :)

      • Considering CPA still has 30-odd planes sitting in ASP, I don't think they're in a position to resume the regular flight schedule.

  • I wonder if Qantas would price match
