    Picked up the st 96 a few weeks ago for $99, the st 96 has 1080p full hd recording

    Nothing special here. Cameras have got cheap everywhere.
    Just look at DSE or officeworks. Plenty of compact cameras under or near $100, including Canon, Panasonic, Sony.

    I had a Samsung, and never mind the hardware specs. It sucked due to poor design and buggy software. e.g. the autofocus was terrible.

    I bought this for the Father-in-law, arrived yesterday & came with a 4 GB SDcard. The problem is that the camera uses microSD, FAIL!
