I think for a dollar more, this deal is slightly better as it is delivered.

    • +4

That's also an option. Not everyone has ebay plus. Some people have The Good Guys stores nearby.

        fair

      • +3

Can probably just pricematch the goodguys at OW (or JB) as BargainsGrabber mentions here

        • Thanks I will mention that on title and description

          • +2

@Scrooge McDeal: They actually say pricebeat so even better. : )

          • @Scrooge McDeal: Personally I would’ve credited BG for the reminder, as he published the comment. I always like to be consistent with crediting the person who first published the deal or mentioned a helpful tip in the comments.

            • @HamBoi69: Well, ozbs25 mentioned it to me. If he didn't then I wouldn't have known. That's why credit to ozbs25 but you are right also credit to BG. Didn't do it on purpose. If you think I should mention it, no problem.

    • should've read this first… sigh

Can this be used for switch? Yes, Infact slight overkill but get this and repurpose this for gopro, drone, dslr, mirrorless down the line if you want to upgrade storage or no longer compatible with switch sequel

    • Thanks for making the question and also answering. It would definitely be a question for many.

    • +5

Can this be used for dashcam? Yes but may not be recommended. Get the PRO endurance instead.

    • thank you.

Thanks! need to find a hole now to put it to.

    • That's what he said

Bought this SD card very recently and I might have a dud. Every video file put onto the card has a corrupted part in it where it gets stuck and then morphs artifacts into the picture. Yikes…I guess when the memory is larger there's more space for corrupted sectors

It comes with 10 years warranty. Where did you buy it from? Return and get a new one.

      • +1

Bing Lee via ebay store. First time I get a big boy card and this happens haha

        • +1

Contact them to see what they say. They should give you a new one. Just unlucky I guess

        • +2

Run the card through H2testw and send the retailer a screenshot!

Just for the tech savvy, this card uses 3dv6 136l nand.

The same nand has data integrity error 0e in 970 evo, 980 pro and 990 pro ssds. For data storage the pro plus is better

    • What kind of problems can this cause in what usage cases?

      • +2

Data loss basically. It's a Russian roulette, odds is low ish. It's probably OK for dash cam use, but not reliable for data

For me, I'd just use pro plus which uses 3dv5 92L nand. This model has no reported problem

        • Would this be suitable for downloading games into? Like the switch or 3DS?

  • +5

Thanks OP, scored it off of JB for under $15…wohoo!

    • +1

How did you get it for that price?

      • +1

        Perks sign up probably

      • Yep, stacked with Perks & Coles 15% off Gift card

  • will samsung honor the 10 years warrant if i use it for cctv continuous recording?

Paid $37 in Nov 2022 — I may be unlucky. Two cards failed with 1 month. (Same for my friend)

Returned and refunded. Samsung is reluctant to replace the card.

I understand sample of 3 is very small, but that is 100% failure rate within 1 month for us.

Saying that, my Samsung Evo 128 (non-endurance) is still going strong after 3 years. Record when car runs only.

      Amazon Review

1.0 out of 5 stars — Disappointed Product Quality

      Reviewed in Australia — 22 January 2023

      Capacity: 256 GB Verified Purchase

Unsure it is an isolated incident, but beware before you buy this product.

All of my Samsung microSD cards went through many read/write cycles without issue in the past years.

Unfortunately, this Samsung EVO Plus 256GB card gives issue approximately in LESS THAN a month.

HDTune Pro write test showed error.

Cyrstal Disk Mark showed write speed for about 1 MB/s.

Tried formatting into NTFS and exFAT, did not help :(

      • thats why you need Samsung Pro Endurance

Built to last up to 140K hours of recording

        Critical data. Protected

        • I have many more non-endurance cards working perfectly fine as local storage for CCTV cameras.

Probably more than 500 over past 5 years.

I do prefer product that is built-of-life in old days, but I see more and larger products becoming built-as-consumable.

It is getting harder to validate if manufacturer truely engineer and build product to spec, versus (doggy) marketing.

Nice to hear you all found something works for you and do not need to go back.

For me, shopping is an ongoing journey, love learning perspectives and inspirations.

          Good luck everyone.

    • @jjj123 - I'd be more worried if I still have the receipt handy in 9 years 11 months time, that is if I don't misplace the SD card before.

  • Great deal thanks for sharing, $23.75 from office works delivered 😁

Ok to use in a dashcam?

  • Anyone could tell me could this sd card Be applicable for Switch?

  • Guess no price beat until aest tomorrow?

Bought 2 off JB via live chat/perk code/gift card. $18 each.

    • Just picked up my order. they are out of evo, so they gave me pro instead. guess it's a deal now.

  • If you have Tapo security cameras, check to make sure they can take 256GB, most can't only use 128GB
