If you don't need the international calls & sms then Catch is cheaper at $89.00. Both use the Optus network.

60gb data is quite pushing it for 1 year unfortunately for me…

    • +2

Not really an issue if you have a dual sim phone, just buy Boost 28 day sim deals for the data.

      • +1

Ahh yeah but i have also heard that there's a limit on how many burner sim you can get over the year where some people have been barred from boost in getting more sims, is that true?

        • I believe the number is 5-6 "active", now how long they stay active after expiry I am unsure

        • +1

Not barred but unable to activate online. Gotta call or go through their live chat. Spent 45 mins. Have 8 boost numbers, probably 5-6 still active.

    • +2

The 120GB data version is often $119.

      $20 for double the data.

  • +1

    Purchasing for the international calls.

  • Do they have VOLTE yet?

  • +8

I have used this for the last couple of years.

If you turn off auto renew they make the renewal offer the same price as it comes close to renewal time (has for the last 2 renewals).

If you shop at woolies for over 150 once a month their annual deal is better as it costs 12.50 per month and you get 10% off a shop per month.
I made a profit on my kids mobile the last 3 years running.

    K

    • Is the 10% off applied automatically to the first woolie shop of each calendar month?

      • +1

        No, you can choose.

      • +2

It is linked to the Woolies rewards card. When you scan it on checkout and it is not used for that month, it asks do you want to use your 10% discount. For online, you will need your rewards card linked, and then use discount code which is usually of the format MMMYYYY.

    • Do any of the Woolies Long Expiry Plans have international calls included? I could not find any on their website which have international calls included.

  • I think its best deal in the market if you need international calls/dont shop in woolies. You can carryover 50 GB,get international calls included and they sometimes give discount on recharge as well.

  • We need eSIM for Coles Mobile. Literally the only reason I'm not switching.

    • +1

  • If you use it to recharge, does it add 12 months to your current expiry or just reset it to 12 months from then?

    • This isn't a recharge, it's a sim starter pack.

    • +2

No. If you recharge with another annual pack, the pack activates immediately. You lose any existing monthly allowance.

    • reset it too 12 months from then

      no add up

  • Are there any other 365 day plans with good roaming prices?

    • +1

      Amaysim. See techno's comment above.

  • Does this work for existing customers also?

    • No - new services only. But if you turn off auto recharge you should receive a similar discount for your renewal about 1 month out from the due date

      • Yep my wife's number got this offer and its a 20% discount, so even better for just $96 instead of $99 plus can rollover up to 50gb of existing data !!!

  • +1

Decent provider but just keep in mind it doesn't seem they offer MMS to text like Amaysim. Not sure why but if you can put up with message bank then they are pretty good.

  • Confirmed with Coles mobile that no esim for the ‘could be’ esim-only iPhone15.

  • -2

Wouldn’t recommend. Changed from boost mobile to coles mobile few weeks ago. Keeping breaking up on calls, and no signal on certain location, especially the carpark.

    • +1

All depends on location, Optus is the best in my area. Where abouts are you located?

    • Boost is Telstra and Coles is Optus, so you're basically whinging that your Telstra reception is better than Optus. WGAF

  • Can one get this instore?

    • +2

Yes it's in the current catalogue.

  • -2

Optus is among worst networks in Oz . Make sure you check your connection using a $2 sim before opting for these plans

    • +3

Actually Optus is only a hair's breadth away from Telstra in terms of population covered (about 1%). Telstra tend to come into their own in very rural/outback areas. As for coverage within cities, many will attest to 'blackspots' in Telstra coverage within very urban areas - rule of thumb is always to get a cheap trial SIM to test coverage on your personal routes.

The worst coverage award has to go to vodafone, which is quite a long way off the pace.

      • I've moved to a place in Sydney metro where the Telstra/Boost coverage is poor and Optus is much better, so looking to change to Optus myself.

      • I am looking out my window at Flinders St station and my Coles reception here is better than my Telstra reception in a dual SIM iPhone.

Even being a stones throw from the major metro CBD is no guarantee of better coverage on a different network.

        • This is also my experience on Melbourne trains in general, Optus tends to be slightly better (At least for south east)

  • Bought one, thank you OP.

  • Existing Colesmobile user hack! Dialling *43# enables call waiting. Found out today!

  • Anyone able to get discounts as existing customer? I turned off auto-recharge and no luck :(

    • you need to make sure you have marketing preferences option switched on, thats what happened to me, wife got the discount option updated in her account but not me, I rang them and found out thats the issue. Once I switched it back on, within 3 hrs SMS & email offer arrived and logon to my account, bingo the 20% recharge option is there !!!

      • I'll see if it's still there I just turned it on!

        • the CS said will ping you 2 weeks before your expiry, which I m still 3 weeks away but within 2 hrs the preference is back on i got the sms/email offer.

          • @kaikor: My expiry is on the 28th of April (which is less than 2 weeks before expiry) i'll see how it goes as i haven't received any discount yet.

            • @Mr Joker: Update: I received 20% off thanks!

              • +1

@Mr Joker: All good, love the fact that they allow to rollover up to 50gb unused data, which is a bonus.
Was thinking about going back to Boost but yesterday received price rise email from 4th July on, the $200 will be $230 !!! so ripoff now

  • Can I port out and back in with this deal? Do I have to wait a certain period of time?

    • You can start a NEW 12 month plan with this deal and keep your number. But if you do, you'll be starting afresh from the date you do it, losing any credit and data that you have with your existing plan.

  • If I'm on amaysim, and wanting to move to a $99 annual plan with international inclusions, is this the only option to port to?
This comment by @wisdomtooth is helpful, and that's what has made me decide on this Coles $99 plan. But are there any other options?

I am also thinking of waiting for offers such as 5000 bonus Flybuys points or Double Data 120GB on this Coles Mobile $99 Annual Plan.
