Why no power adaptors? Did they knock these off from the local science fair? Sarah will not be happy! :D

Lenovo redistributed stock from another region

Very likely these are brand new laptops

      • +2

I see no where on the product web page which states that. It only states that it's refurbished. There's nothing even stating about being from another region.

But it does have AU at the end of the model number before it says refurbished so i believe that these are actually Australian stock laptops from Lenovo Australia. It's official Australian stock refurb.

The onsite warranty upgrade product code is also an AU one.

So why no power adaptor? Surely Lenovo would supply a power adaptor if they were official refurbs?

          • @bdl: I don't know, ask them. I might be some policy from Lenovo. But it is strange because the power adapter is universal power 100-240V so it can work in all regions.

What region? The part number ends in AU so it’s an Australian model

        • Yeah he/she was just telling a load of nonsense and some how ended up with +4 votes out of it. It's the Australian model. It shows that these people don't do their research properly first.

    • Multiport 45-65W charger and a PD cable should be the standard issue these days.

  • Only just purchased a few 2019 refurb laptops earlier ;-;

    Website link says $1499

    • Looks to be sold out

      • Well that's a shame. The deal didn't last long after being ozbargained.

    • Same here.

  • Knowing it is sold out, just wondering what would the refurbished quality like?

My assumption is that this could have just been a brand new batch of overstocked manufactured units listed by Lenovo as refurb that Lenovo was wanting to quickly get rid of. Since they officially can't ship it as a brand new batch without the power adapter included all in retail packaging. It does state 1 year warranty which is what you get with the brand new units.

So these could actually be brand new but without retail packaging that Lenovo never shipped with a power adaptor being not enough manufactured stock of those at the time for the batch. That's my guess.

So these people might be getting actually brand new unused units. That's my assumption.

And it's easy enough to obtain a power adapter for this model so that's no big deal. I even linked to a seller on eBay which is selling the genuine Lenovo power adapter for this model through this deal thread.

But I'll post the url link again.

    I don't recommend anything 11th gen Intel
There is an infamous issue of TBT4 ports will stop working due to this is the first time Intel integrated TBT controller in the CPU
