It’s still a good unit. But for cigarettes in particular, the practicalities are inferior. For lighting anything smaller or larger, it should be fine…
i mainly wanted it for the little citronella tea candles for when I do bbq's or sit out back - the wick is very small so the one in your link is perfect.
I usually just have a bunch of cheap bic lighters but thought i could swap to this to have a reliable light everytime (hopefully)

Yep, old and new Yesdex / Ausselect units are micro usb. Having not used the unit in the video, I can’t comment on how it compares, but I personally prefer the various Amazon units.
The micro Vs usb-c comparison is a non-issue for me.
Just like most other resellers of AliExpress spec products on Amazon, looks like this is an outdated version of one that exists on there currently. These ones charge via micro usb whereas the ones on Ali are all C.

I bought one of these on a previous deal, great for camping bushwalking etc, though I usually forget to take it with me.
My 9YO son uses it the most, for his pyromania fun times, getting candles burning, sparklers or camp fires.
He'll literally fire it up a hundred times without it going flat, so yes works well.

Yep, easily. You could almost say it’s built for sparklers. The grove where the electric flame comes out is not much wider than a sparkler, so it would sit in there perfectly and get real toasty, fast.

I’m a big fan of these and have grabbed a few of old and new models on the regular occasion when they drop to around or under $10, but this is the old model with poor plasma arc placement which restricts the size of objects you can light..
New model is more practical for lighting cigarettes, campfires or ferrets…
