  • Go the 85inch add the sound bar and get the $800 voucher back

  • Recommend the 75 for $2k. Good value for a great TV.

    • I wish my 55" Frame worked properly…..been buggy (i.e. constant resetting/rebooting every 60 seconds) for 4 weeks and waiting for tech now to repair (tomorrow hopefully) after getting a new cable sent.

Looks nice on the wall as a black (not blank) canvas. The matte finish is great for our glarey room, compared with the old WORKING TV placed back on TV unit….reflections are cut down significantly. I just hope now it'll be fixed.

Thanks for the vent. Rant over…..for now

      • Sounds very frustrating. Mine has worked perfect from install.

        • Ha. Not that you asked for an update but here is my unsolicited updated.

Cable supposedly fine, tech arrived with a new screen (thanks to the info from online agent I was speaking to)….turns out new circuit board for one-connect box and TV will be replaced. Another 2 weeks probably of it sitting there looking at me blankly with it's amazing matte display while my Hisense sits there working and showing all the garden reflections and light glare from the backyard. FML. ;)

          • @PleasureMachine: Good that you got a diagnosis. 2 weeks is pretty good in the scheme of things.
This has prompted me to hurry up and get a silent PC fan installed in my mounted BESTA unit below the TV. Very little ventilation for the One Connect box in there.

            • @7hours 44min ago: Thanks for that. It was very frustrating.

Little update…..tech came in and replaced the circuit board in TV only…took not even 15mins. Didn't do anything to one connect box. He mentioned the box is just inputs/outputs so no need to work on the box. He also had no concerns it being in the TV unit. It's a narrow shelf and I was concerned on ventilation but he said it was absolutely fine. If it's in a wall cavity with no air, that's when it could overheat.

Seems to have fixed the TV after one night of use. It looks really great. Very happy now.

I couldn't even get free to air TV via antenna initially. I thought I was doing something wrong, but tech said that's a huge red flag and he's kicking himself he missed that. The feature was back after the repair so he said that's a really good sign.

Took a while but glad it is done now.

  • Personally, i think these are ugly as! Good concept but it would only suit x-amount of loungerooms.

    • But personally for me, not having a black empty space that can be used for pictures and realistic looking art is a great feature (when it works).

I don't care for high end optics and having the blackest of blacks, or 256 billion colour range. This TV has enough great features…for me…personally.

  • Just upgraded two of my TV's
    Got the 85' QN800B - $2800 (display model)
and had a 30% loyalty discount from Samsung on 75'' The frame which got it down to $1679.00 inc Free delivery

    • is Display model usually ok to buy? i thought they have shorter life

      • Well all Tv's have a life span so when the store first puts that tv on display (some can be 1-2 years 12hrs a day) add up how many hours that is and remove that from your new tv's life, then work out how much discount they are giving you is really worth it
