  • Hmmm seems like Toys are 0%, so does that mean no bonus westpac cashback as well? =(

Correct. You need to have min. 1c value tracked for bonus cashbacks.

      • Damn but thanks!

  • Bought dashcam via amazon with my westpac debit card thats been linked.

It hssnt tracked yet, been a few hours.

Did i need to go to amazon via shopback link for it to track?

I was under the impression that as long as you paid with your westpac card, it will track?

    • It’s a ShopBack promotion in partnership with Westpac, so yes, you have to go to Amazon via ShopBack and it has to be a purchase in a category Amazon would pay cash back on.

    • You need to create a token session via Shopback to have it tracked. Cancel and re-order is the way to fix it.

  • I went to my shopback app and began the challenge for amazon.

Then i visited amazon by clicking on amazon frlm there.

seems like the click had been tracked.

    Now hopwfully the cashback tracks

  • Anyone know if I can use an Amazon Coupon (6%) specified on an item with this deal? Is it considered an "unapproved" coupon?

  • @gotyourback The OP post here says that the 15% bonus is only on categories with currently available cashback. But in the app, from within the Westpac lounge section, all that is mentioned is "15% bonus Cashback (capped at $20) when you pay with your eligible Westp…". The app doesn't specify the condition that it only applies to categories with currently available cashback.

How would users of the app know that 0% category items do not qualify for this 15% bonus? For example I recently bought a router on Amazon through Shopback app (through Westpac lounge using my Westpac card). Nothing in the app make mention that 0% category doesn't qualify (router is part of network, part of computers, and has 0% cashback).

In contrast, yesterday's Amazon challenge has the following in the app: "$3 Amazon Australia challenge. Get $3 bonus Cashback. Spend $30 at Amazon Australia". According to OzB yesterday, this $3 bonus applies to all categories including 0% category. But how would the Shopback app user know that yesterday's $3 bonus also apply to 0% category?

Bonus cashback is what it suggests. A bonus cashback from a regular cashback which infers a tracked value of more than $0.01 as 0% are issued as "calculating". Yesterdays, $3 bonus is a challenge and not a bonus cashback.

      • All I’m saying is that these need to be clearly stated in the terms section of the app. Rules should reside in the app as not everyone would have read this post.

For example, saying that $3 bonus is a challenge not a bonus, is just adding to the confusion. 😀

  • One day only? Trying to send funds to my Westpac account but taking longer than a day to arrive lol.

    • Why not PayID for instant transfer?

    • First time transfers always 24 hours hold and instant after.

    • Yeah it wasn't actually the first time to this account, just slow processing apparently. Ended up buying gift cards so that I could just use 5% of the payment with the Westpac card so a few dollars and the rest gift cards, hopefully that works lol

  • Does it matter if the item is shipped from Amazon US but I bought it on Amazon Au?

Something to note for people playing this next time. I ordered something on Amazon last night for $47.50 and added $40 Amazon GC and paid the remaining $7.50 via Westpac CC. Got confirmation email that I paid $40 in GC and $7.50 via CC. I then added a further $10 Amazon GC to the account.

I just checked this morning and I'm down to $2.50 credit in my account and the payment summary online now shows the full amount of $47.50 deducted from GC instead. So I guess I miss out on the bonus. So basically don't have any credit in your account until the item is sent next time or Amazon will readjust the payment after the fact.

    • Could you see $7.50 taken out from your CC account, before this adjustment occurred?

      • Not sure, as I never thought to check. I assumed if the order was confirmed and I received an email saying order processed with the CC amount listed and everything that it would have been settled. That's why I went ahead and added the $10 (Had a $50 swap from a previous deal).

I only noticed when I saw my remaining balance on Amazon this morning was short….

Actually it just occurred to me that Amazon may not process payment until AFTER shipping… I guess the default behaviour is to use up all credits before it goes to your CC. That probably explains it. Will need to be very careful in the future if using GCs and Westpac offers.

  • Got rejected…. Weird. I bought some sports apparel which should fall under either apparel or sports & outdoor. Anyone with similar experience?
