Seems like a good app. Probably not as good as Poweramp, but at this price a whole lot cheaper, and has a nice unique interface.

According to AppBrain price is $1.05 (previously $3.15) although on the Play store it says AU$.99

  • Took advantage of this offer. The app is good, although could be more 'orthogonal'. Preferred it to Poweramp.

Just wish I could find an amp that integrated local music with a NAS repository.

    • ..orthagonal? Not quite sure what you're saying

      • Orthogonal Def in Urban dictionary:
A word used by the tech-savvy to sound smarter than the really are.

        More specifically:

A math term that means perpendicular, but not just in 2D but in any dimension. Now commonly used to indicate an idea or concept that stands apart so much from everything else that it "sticks out," is "from left field," or is "third-way."
"I have this co-worker who keeps using the word 'orthogonal,' usually after he mentions some idea he thinks is God's gift to man. Can't wait to get this word into my vocab. Soon as I figure out what it means."

        • +1

Orthogonal, in the way I used it, means that the various functionality doesn't combine two aspects into one control (eg you can change things separate from others), and that there is one way to do things - and a simple obvious control at that.

So, if you use pinch-zoom to focus in on a song from a Artist>Album perspective, you ought to be able to view things from a Genre perspective and do the same thing in the same way. Or if looking at a particular song, you ought to be able to use pinch-zoom to back out to the album > artist levels.

It comes from functionality being 'at right angles' - if you use a mechanism to travel down the x-axis, it shouldn't change your position on the y-axis, and you should be able to use the same mechanism on each dimension in turn.

Never heard it being used in a 'from left field' way - probably just faker MBAs using the term without understanding it. It's a descriptor I've used for over twenty years.

  • Love this player…..nuff said.

  • Currently I use DoubleTwist and really like it, but I'm going to give this a go when I get home this arvo.
