Need an AM5 deal come on

  • $21 delivery for me

  • Looks like its OOS. Does this work out of the box with 13th gen intel?

    • +1

In general z690 boards will need a bios update to work with 13th gen.
Most of these boards come with a bios flashback button so not too much of an issue. Just check beforehand that the motherboard you are buying has this button in the rear IO. This one definitely does.
With umart/msy I think you can ask for a free bios update in case of no such button.

Thank-you just managed to create an account, order and pay within 2 minutes…
Probably got the last one.. I assume…

  • Party's over, Umart web team are monitoring OzBargain and have pulled the deal

    • +2

      What the font?

      • Wrap your text in backticks `. It's a Markdown feature.

      • or four spaces before text

  • Why pull the deal?? Price error?

Global computer market drop 30% overall, price is coming down one way or another… If you are not in hurry, i'll wait for more deal like this coming out.

    • How do they both price error though, that's weird.
Maybe one of those shops have a bot that crawls the competitors site, and detects price reductions and matches, but in this case one of the shops had a price error and the other matched the error before human intervention.

They're run by the same company…

      • +1

Umart owns msy. They both use the same data.

        • Didn’t know this

  • +1

Anyone got a screenshot of their invoice?
I just bought this off Amazon for $382 (dropped to $365)!

    • Last rep told me they dont price match anymore

      • +1

Price protection if I buy fro umart or msy

  • Damn.

  • +6

remember this tomahawk is not for throwing it's for putting in your computer.

    • How.

    • +1

I reckon you could hunt with it if it's all you had. Very solid VRMs, and an I/O shield as sharp as any axehead.

  • +1

Feeling ripped, paid $285 a few months ago

    • +2

That's a great price if it's the DDR5 version with wifi

      • +1

My order lists the DDR5 version with the Wifi…

No invoice available as yet.. just the order and price, in my history / pening orders

        • Good on you man

Looking at your post history I can see that you were able to get this deal previously. Geez you're fast

          • +2

            @povogamer: Pure luck..
Knew the board well.. wanted the DDR5 version..
            No research needed..
MSY didn't needed any email confirmation when making a new account.. and it was automatically logged in..

Plus I had already sorted out my paypal / credit card issues a couple of days ago..

            so everything went silky smooth..
Plus I was rushing.. because when increasing the quantity, the website stated, there wasn't a enough stock left.

—- even $285 is a great price for the board..

Once its on ozbargain, you have very very little time to purchase…

      • Yeah it was a good deal.
I upgraded the CPU retention bracket with the anti-bend one.
        Running 13700k + 6400cl32.

    • Lol I paid $379 for the DDR4 version

  • Missed it. Waiting on Z790 ;)

Got this motherboard and paired it with a 13600k.

Make sure you update the bios, search up videos how to. I made the mistake of not doing it and was stressing for a bit until I realised.

Out of box, MSI motherboards set lite load to 12 and causes the CPU to reach TJ max almost immediately when running a benchmark. I recommend turning it down in bios. I've turned mine to 3 or 5 and I doesn't hit TJ max when benchmarked anymore.
Recommend checking out this video on instructions and more information: https://youtu.be/-mkAVITZoLY

    • Thanks, I have this board and a 13700k on the way. I watched that video.
As a noob, is updating the bios hard?

      • +2

The bios isn't hard to update just follow steps correctly and you'll be all goods. As a noob myself I recommend this video and follow his instructions to get your computer up and running. Goodluck!
