  • Did these ever get the Bluetooth LE audio update 'they promised"?

    • Did they though? You might have them confused with Samsung. So sick of waiting for LE Audio.

      • On there release doc that was leaked on reddit it said it was. Not sure if it ever happened. At this point might as well wait until proper LC3 codec support on next gen :>

  • Charging stand has gone out of stock too now.

    • +2

Still showing "In Stock" for me and I was able to purchase

      • can also price match OW $57

        • If you can find an Officeworks with actual stock…

  • Just walked into a store (Melbourne Elizabeth St) and got a black set of buds. So there may be stock still available in store.

Very creepy experience. Kept asking me more and more personal questions. I had enough when I was asked "Do you live alone?"! I paused, took a breath but before I could unload they realised they'd crossed a line ran off and got the buds.
You would have thought they'd learned after the data breech. I was still a loyal customer even after that stuff up but now reconsidering.

    • +4

Should've said: "Yeah I don't count the bodies in the basement"

    • Why would they be asking those questions??

    • Part of the staff training is to ask questions to close sales and upsell you more things. This one took it too far and didnt get that the sale is already done. Lol .

  • Bought the stand about 3 and a half hours ago, just got an email to say it's been shipped already

  • +1

I got lucky, just got off the phone with Officeworks and they price beat both the stand and buds for me delivered.

  • Is the Pixel stand even worth it? Trying to justify purchasing it.

    • +2

      Worth it for this price.

      • I didnt even see the price for the stand.

I think for $60, it could be worth it!

    • +3

I have a Pixel 7 Pro and this stand, and I actually really enjoy the way you can let the stand turn your phone into a digital photo frame. It's not something I would have bothered to do on my own, but it's really nice seeing photos of friends, family and recent holidays.
I've bought a second one through this deal to go on my bedside table for the sunrise alarm feature.

  • +4

Back in stock for both buds and stand - just ordered.

  • +1

    Back in stock… just ordered

  • What do people use these buds for?

Sorry, I only use mine for the gym! I got Sennheiser Momentum TW 3(New sealed, they look huge tho)
I got a bad habit of buying stuff I dont use! I still got those Bose headphones for $230 in the box! I thought theyd be good around the house when I need silence LOL

Bought the stand,m brand new for $60 with shipping is great!

    • i use over the ear bose headphones in the open office so i can concentrate on my work, and people think im on a call so they dont disturb me with idle chats. i also wear them when i fly because the noise cancelling is amazing.
i use buds during my commute because it's easier to carry in my bag

      • Yeah, I plan to bring the TW3 with me overseas as smaller(flying business class this time, dont need on plane)
I bought the Bose, just incase theres noise from neighbour or something! I dont really need them! I guess I dont need these buds lol

        • i fly business and definitely still use my Bose onboard.
american airlines had fancy bang and olufsen headphones for business flyers but the noise cancelling on the bose were much better.

      • I've used both Bose 700s and Google Pixel Buds Pro for international travel, and found the Pixel Buds definitely do a good enough job.

Bose 700s are better and also have enough battery to last the entire flight, but it isn't as night and day as I thought it would be.

        • I'm flying Singapore, and the on-board set is pretty decent.

I am in Europe for 4 weeks, I don't want to carry anything extra I don't need. I think the earphones will do fine so when i'm on a train watching a movie on my Tablet.

I am sure Bose are better, but I just want to carry the least amount as possible!

Honestly, most time i am flying I see everyone with earphones now. I rarely see anyone wear headphones on planes. It could just be when I am flying around business times!

I may just sell the Bose, unsure if i'll really get good use out of them anymore. I think at least with earphones I use them for the gym(thats the most use). I don't work in an open office etc

I got bad habits of buying stuff I dont use!

BTW I think the STAND should of had it's own listing!

    • I use it daily for all sorts especially calls. Its got exceptional call quality and can keep my hands free or use my phone to look up other things during the call.

  • +2

Back in stock, charcoal and fog buds, and the stand.

  • +3

Still in stock! Just did a price beat at Officeworks! The employees were reluctant to do so at first but managed to convince them in the end

  • Anyone looking at Comply foam tips for the buds. Google store doesn't haven't them. Couldn't find them at a reasonable price anywhere, or my Google skills have gone downhill… ☺️

  • +6

Got JB to price match online. :)

    • Me too!

    • The real ozbargain way. I feel like Officeworks had a big internal email about price matching as they were checking everything before oking bht to wait a bit for 142.50 well worth it

    • Why didnt I do that and just do click and collect??

  • it seems like a low low price ever, thx op, I will take a bite

  • +1

When you already have 4 pairs of buds and only one pair of ears.

    • Haha
I still got those Bose Sports 2 for 1 deal for $99? I decided I have to sell both pairs.

I buy all this stuff I don't use!

These look appealing because they look small, my TW3 look HUGE! I don't know if I should open, or sell! I am still using $40 earphones I bought from Ozb 5 years ago! LOL

  • Didn't know price matching with JB online would be this easy compared to in store.

Thanks OP. Got both for $110. Had $100 pixel bonus still sitting around.

    • How did you get them for $110?

      • $100 pixel bonus from JB

        • Can you explain what you mean? I just picked up a Pixel 7 from JB Hi-fi outright, did I miss a gift card?

    • online - they have the CEO sitting right next to them where the instore guys needs to find their store manager first.

  • Sweet got a pair

  • such safe and reliable company, they now even have great discounts for their members

  • +1

Now the question is, charcoal or fog?

    • +2

Why not both? one for each ear.

  • Hmm payment failed at the final screen this morning due to being out of stock but card was still charged. Now I'm left wondering do I reorder since it's back in stock or will I end up accidentally doubling up if they happen to send through the morning order?

    • I had same issue with PayPal, final screen sat on processing then went to home page, reordered with a cc and 20 mins later got email from PayPal and order confirmations for both. Have emailed trying to cancel one but no answer

      • +1

Yep, double check your CC before you place a 2nd order. Payment is processed without confirmation, and email can take a couple of minutes to come through. Not looking great on Optus.

        • Well at least on the failed payment page they were kind enough to tell you not to worry and that a refund will be processed ASAP, so seems like they know the system does that. Never got an order confirmation email from optus anyway so I should've purchased it after all oh well lol.

      • Same for me.
Order already got shipped though so all good

  • Thanks OP.
    Got a dock.
I was considering the dock a luxury too expensive for RRP, and I'm so glad I waited.

Main benefit of dock is that I can put a plastic dustcap in my USB C port, avoiding Lindt buildup (USB c's biggest weakness imo).
I also think the nightstand features will be nice.

    • +7

I do like Lindt chocolate. Gotta be careful where you dip your phone. :-)

  • +1

How are these compared Jabra Elite 75t?

  • ripper deal

  • Pixel buds back in stock!

  • Thanks OP, got a pair. Hopefully they actually fulfill the order, awesome deal. Will make a good partner to my Bose QCIIs

  • Would have picked up a buds for the missus but sold out
    Grabbed 2 docks instead

    Thanks OP

    • +3

Good luck fitting them in your hears tho

  • Thanks OP, ordered one buds pro to add to my collection 😁

  • +1

Ordered at 1030am Monday, buds and charging stand were just delivered at 1030am Wednesday. Thanks again OP.

  • Charcoal back in stock, just ordered one.

    • Good work! You must have been quick, I've been checking on and off and they're still showing as out of stock for me.

  • If anyone's had any luck with physical stores in SA can you let me know?

Tried calling around SA Optus stores. Apparently they don't stock the buds. That doesn't sound right, but it's the answer I got from a few places.

    • +1

If you would like to take a chance, try going into a JB Hi Fi store and see if they would price match it. I managed to do so earlier today, even though Optus website showed it Out of Stock, I told them that it was in stock the whole day on Monday and Tuesday and has been coming in and out of stock today. The guy just price matched it.

  • My order received a shipment notification

  • Damn bought both the stand and buds, what am I gonna use my 10% Google one credit on now??

    • Wait, doesn't Google price match retailers now?

Nevermind. Optus isn't on the list.

      Authorized retailers:
      Bunnings
      Harvey Norman
      JB Hi-Fi
      Officeworks
      The Good Guys

  • Set mine up tonight. Very impressed with the ANC. Sound quality also appears good.

They seem quite slippery and light, a bit difficult to take out the case though. I had to put in the biggest ear tips to get a proper seal. Once I did that the ANC kicked in.

    • Yeah I didn't know how good those wings were on the buds A, but I really miss them. It feels like these buds pro are going to fall out (even though they haven't yet).

      • Yup they do feel like they will fall out. No way I could do a gym workout with them in. The fit isn't the best, but with the right ear tip the ANC works at least.

      • I actually prefer the 2nd gen - good fit and comfortable, the fit for the buds A were ok but needs fiddling and it was only comfortable enough for short listening.

        • After a couple of days of usage, I've started to trust the seal and hold of the buds. I've changed my stance on them and inclined to agree with you.

  • I was able to get it today in person at an Optus store in Brisbane. Had to go a second store because the first one was sold out.

    • You mean it's still this price and in stock at their physical shops? Which shop was it in Brisbane or did you buy the last one haha?

Edit: Not even sure if I actually still want one or not as there seem to be a lot of reddit comments on the short stem causing bad and loose fits. No idea how google didn't do their due diligence during test trials for this issue.

      • I went to Adelaide Street in Brisbane City. I think I may have gotten the last one πŸ˜…

      • Yeah if the stores still have stock, they scan up as $150. Worthwhile checking stores. The sale is on until 21 May or something but stocks are depleting.

Edit: regarding the fit, I thought it was going to be an issue, but they've held on better than my buds A. I prefer these now. Very comfortable.

  • +1

Back in stock at time of writing.

Considered doing the price beat/match after work but I didn't want to get greedy and miss out (again).

    • Back in stock here too! Charcoal only in WA it appears.

  • yet to receive mine from last week. and i paid for express shipping too.

    • Got both the stand and the buds in 2 days. Didn't pay for express

  • +1

Price matched at officeqworks for $142.50

  • These or the airpod pros if I want good sound quality and ANC?

    • AirPod Pro 2s far better ANC and sound quality in my opinion.

  • How does this compare to Jabra Elite 7 Pro?

  • What's the hear-through like on these? I've used the Jabra 7 Pro's quite a bit and liked theirs, but I lost them so I'm curious.

  • +2

Back in stock charcoal and fog as of 5th May.

    • Do they just keep digging these up from the corner of a warehouse somewhere lol.

      • +1

they were overpriced from the start, i think about $100 is about right, fit not so good even with the 3 different tips option, software is great however.
