Flights available from 4 Australian airports to London Heathrow.

Flights available most days in October to November, can depart last few days of September, return first few days of December in some cases. No need to post examples because there's so many dates available right now.

Skyscanner provides links to book on multiple websites, booking direct with Malaysia Airlines is slightly more expensive.

Layover is pretty good, longest I've seen in the ~5 flights I've looked at is 7 hours, most seem to be 1-4 hours.

Also, in the link to the deal, changing the URL from "lond" to the airport code of your preferred destination may reveal some good deals. Alternatively, put in any fake airport code (e.g. fxb) and it'll show the cost for the cheapest flight from Australia to every country (found by people on skyscanner) - actually finding the specific dates may be a bit harder.

    Too soon.

It's good to see flight prices starting to return to non-pineapple prices.

I would rather pay a few dollars more and book directly with the airline and not one of those dodgy faceless travel agents on sky scanner. When things go wrong you can be sure they won’t help.

There's a lot of people who have tried dealing with Qantas directly over the past year who would dispute direct to source is any better. lol

      • Can confirm dealing directly with the airline can be just as bad (Qantas experience)

      • Touché haha I won’t fly Qantas so have been lucky to avoid those 5 hour call centre waits

    • Last 5 months I had to deal with Virgin, Qantas and Rex directly.

Oh those 3, only Rex weren't difficult despite it not being my fault.

On top of that, Virgin now magically "can't" find the credit they owe me for a cancelled flight.

I wish I had gone through flight centre.

      • I am sure you would have received a booking confirmation email after booking your flight? I would simply tell them you are going to report them to ACCC, if they don't issue you a full refund (not credit) + added compensation.

Malaysia Airlines serves curry for breakfast. I love curry for dinner or lunches. But having curry for breakfast nearly made me throw up in the plane because the entire plane smelt curry. Just a warning for
people who don’t like curry. This is back a few years ago though.

Sounds great. I’ve had so many awful Qantas hot breakfasts

Why neg my replay? Not everyone is into curry. And they should know.

        • +1

I didn’t neg you. Though “airline food not to my taste” does seem like a weird issue to take with an airline. Airline food is almost never to my taste and I’d be stoked with a curry!

I need to hurry up and renew my passport. Overseas travel becoming affordable again. Need a holiday.

    • why is that the airlines fault?

      • -2

Airline pilot could be at fault (as per one theory). So airline is at fault.

        • I thought omcb was referring to some reason the airline contributed to the crash. If the pilot caused the crash that isn't something the airline could have prevented

Congratulations on being on the same intellectual level as jv.

  • Just had family fly in on Malaysian. Not a good experience, old plane, dirty toilets (not cleaned regularly) etc. But it's cheap so depends on your tolerance. They flew Sydney route.

  • Great price for London. Do you reckon September prices would come down or any deals ? Thinking Mel>Paris Athens>Mel.
