You can get this for $11-13 at some places. No point.

So now paying extra for a product classifies it as a bargain just because a big chain is selling it?

*staticice is crap at being crap

        fixed.

      • "static ice is crap anyway"

you had me until this part… you're gunna get negged hard for that one.

    • +3

Static Ice lists over 30 places this is cheaper than $24 ($15+ $9).

    • Staticice comparisons are very valid and quite common here.

Just looked around, and found it $13 at MSY (if you live near one). Thoguh im looking for soemthing a bit more.

Who wants to use up a USB port…

    when there's a BlueTooth connec-
tion going to waste (most of
    the time)?

    • not all computers have bluetooth…

    • +1

also if you have any other newer Logitech devices, this will pair with the unifying receiver

Desktop PCs have 4-8 usb ports these days. what could you possibly do to have 4 usbs occupied? Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Scanner, USB flash Drives, External HDDs? I don't think many people are going to have that many peripherals.

Although, for laptops/netbooks/ultrabooks I think your point is valid. But chances are that you're not going to use a wireless keyboard on a laptop, you'll have a docking station anyway.

      • my over a year and a half old computer has 12 USB ports!
how would i ever even need that many?

  • pos+ because i had no idea this model existed and now I want one

Factory scoop is an online deal only which means the total that you will be paying is 15+9 = 24

  • Smaller in size, but I don't like how the arrow keys are mashed together and the left Ctrl key is smaller. My uni faculty had keyboards where the Shift key had been shortened and it was the most frustrating typing experience ever.

  • The other thing to consider is a wireless "desktop" i.e keyboard and mouse.

What the heck is a "factory scoop"? Is it scooped up of the factory floor?

  • +1

I was surprised to find wireless_mouse from http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/65590 works through the USB interface on my "tablet"; so I assume keyboards would be same compatible- yay or nay?

"Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 Keyboard and Mouse Combo $12.01 after Cash Back" was easily the best deal, but no longer is running.

  • if there is no way to pick this up in store then delivery is the only option.
so the real cost is $24.
because it seems okay for $15 but then u gotta factor in the compulsory $9 delivery :(

This keyboard is $12 pickup at MWAVE.

But yeah, delivery cost makes it about the same as JBHifi.
