just so many problems with customer service.
i bought a dryer/washer set, have been ghosted so many times re: repairs

the appliances when they're working, are great though

Yeah my 1.5 year old washing machine is buggered currently, getting a response out of them has been a struggle so far and I'm waiting from the inevitable "user error, not covered" cop-out response that seems to be their go to

          • +1

@groook: my washer was <1yr, and i cop a "user error" response from them

emails - they won't respond to, except for stating, please call 1300no to escalate
phone - escalated, but no follow up from a different CS rep each time

            • @bs0: I was gonna consider this but appreciate your insights guys - gonna leave it out.

                • @bs0: I absolutely hate bad faith warranties. I don't have time to go to fair trading.

I order a pair of washing machine and heat pump dryer in April 2022. They booked delivery 4 times but had no stock at warehouse to give the driver so I was sitting at home waiting 4 times for nothing. So much back and forth just to get a refund. Didn't get a refund until December 2022.

Ordered in February, still waiting for washing machine :-( Finally opened a case with PayPal to cancel the order last week. The machine was magically marked a 'delivered' in their portal with no sign of delivery. Now escalated to PayPal for full refund.

I don't know if payPal will help, now I'm exploring going to bank and asking them for a charge back if possible at all.

      • I ordered a washing machine and dryer in Feb and still haven’t got them. Service team is useless. They are saying it is out of stock and don’t know anything.

        • mine was in stock. Their whole warehouse operations were shutdown and no deliveries at all. I had so many cases opened - useless. Went to VIC Consumer Affairs too, they told me to write letters :-( So I've tried every option possible and now just want $ back.

      • This happened to me last year. Go get your refund ASAP. It took me 8 months to get a refund because the credit card chargeback period expired (3 months) and I had to wait for Samsung to give back the refund themselves.

I got the 9kg smart heat pump dryer for about the same price was 50% off at that time.
    Works great

    • Was the plumbing fairly straightforward? No complaints?

      • +2

No need to plumb them in as they have a tank you can manually empty

      • I just put in the laundry sink. Havent had time to attach it to the sink plumbing thing, there is space for it but too lazy to do it atm as i think i need to buy an attachment for it

        • Same problem I am facing, trying to work out if there is an easy way to double up and share the existing drain hose thats going into the u-bend of the laundry without increasing any leak risks.

  • This or LG heat pump?

    • I'd recommend getting an Electrolux/Westinghouse, a lot of brands (such as LG and Bosch) dont have reverse tumbling and seems to ball up the laundry giving you uneven drying. The samsungs do, but their appliances seem unreliable?

  • +1

Although my washing machine turned up eventually, it is indeed painful to deal with their customer service as others have mentioned. Proceed at your own risk

a true ozbargainer will only dry clothes under the sun

    • +3

      Winter is coming!

    • Or air dry inside the house to avoid UV damage to the clothes.

  • Any good deals on a 9kg Thanks
