    Thanks op!

I received the star wars game with a Canon printer purchase back in the early 2000's.
That first mission where you need to tie a steel cable around the at-at feet i had dreams of completing it but would fail in real life lol
eventually passed the mission, the whole game too with no cheats.
one of my favourite all time games.
    thx op

I must have replayed Rogue Squadron and Episode 1: Battle for Naboo over a dozen times each on the N64. They were so much fun!

      • +1

Episode one racer was awesome as well

        • +2

Played this over a dozen times as well! So many good N64 games and memories…

    • +1

lol! same here and suddenly i managed to knock the first guy down after 100 tries, and then realized we had another 2.

after that my impossible task was getting a gold medal on that Escape from Fest, damn AT-PTs kept dying!!

you just unlocked a core memory for me - I remember this too

  • Anyone with a spare code for April's giveaway "Looking For Aliens" please DM me and leave a comment here (saying you have) so I don't get three codes again. I'm after one for a friend of the wife.

Interesting that there are no games redeemed via GOG in May.

Anyone else notice that STAR WARS™: Rogue Squadron 3D is available on May 4th?

  • +4

Why have they started releasing these weekly instead of in one go, I always forget to come back

    • +4

I just create a reminder for the day after the last game is added. And add them all in one go.

Anyone actually used the Amazon games app? Is it any good?

    • +1

Well it's functional and hasn't crashed on me (ever), so I would say that it was good.

    • Stable and loads relatively fast compared to Steam.

  • +4

no way the orginal Rogue Squadron?? I use to smash that game all the time on N64 :D LOVE IT.!!

    • Great nostalgic game. What I also find amazing is that if you have it or know where to look, GOG's installer EXE for it is only 47.5mb (and it only takes up 70mb installed).

    • was in n64 or gamecube?

      • First one was on N64 and PC. Following ones were on GameCube (don't think they came to PC?).

Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition also free

  • How does prime gaming work? as long as you have amazon prime you get this benefit? But it asks me to sign up or create an account (i am already signed in with my amazon prime account)

      1. You get free games each week (check https://gaming.amazon.com/home on Friday mornings) whilst you are an Amazon Prime member. Make sure you log in to that page under the Amazon account that has Prime. Click the button marked "Weekly Game" to filter the currently available games. There's also DLC that is free under the "In-Game Content" button.

      2. You get to keep the games even if you leave Amazon Prime.

      3. Some games are redeemed via the Amazon Prime Gaming app (which you will need to download and log in to). Some are via GOG, Legacy Games or other sites that may need to be linked (Amazon provides instructions) or require another app to download (Battle.net, Origin).

      Hope this helps.

    "Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition"

I can't recommend this enough. Best story ever.

    • Just watched a review of it and it looks great. Not sure how I missed the original release but I'm looking forward to it.

The controls are a bit janky. There's only so much you can do with that engine but the story… Getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Bit of replayability there too as there are some real decisions to be made.

        • Thanks for the heads-up. I can endure some "clunkiness" with the controls if the storyline grabs me. After all, I started playing computer games (Star Trek, Lunar Lander and Hunt The Wumpus) in the mid-70's on a teletype… very clunky indeed.

Best RPG ever made. I've bought it 3 times

I've searched on Prime Gaming but can't find the game. Will be be released on May 4 USA time?

    • wondering the same thing. can't see star wars anywhere. doesnt even seem to exist on the website…

    • The listing says [Amazon Games App], so I checked there rather than on the website, but it's also not there.

    • Usually these go by US time. It'll probably be available tonight or tomorrow.

  • definitely hanging out for Rogue Squadron but it's not available yet it seems…odd

  • omg it felt good to get Rogue Squadron claimed today lol.

    • All wings report in.

    • still can't find it!

      • ok, I logged out and back in and it appeared

      • Couldn't do it through the PC app but could through the OP link. Just had to click weekly game and it was there.

Edit: I guess what you did works too.

  • Once the game is downloaded and installed, do you need to maintain your Amazon Prime account to play the game in the future?

What happens to my game library if I cancel my Prime membership?

You will still be able to download and play your games included with Prime you have previously claimed. If you would like to claim new games, you will need to have an active Prime membership.

    Thanks OP

  • I love that they have SNK games. Beats using MAME

Just wondering: why are all the Prime freebies in one monthly post as opposed to weekly posts, like freebies from Epic or others?

I appreciate the work but coming back each week and manually updating my OzB Reminder on this deal isn't as easy as just doing it when a new weekly deal appears.

      So true. Was wondering too
