I noticed there are a couple other bargains as well.

There are quite a few there that are around the 12 Euro to 20 Euro range.

Personally, I bought 2 and the shipping was about 30 Euro (shipping was about 27 for one, each additional bag doesn't seem to add that much), and actually more than the bags themselves. But its still 2 Crumpler bags for around 70 AUD. You can probably get a lower cost per bag if you order more, but I am not sure what I will do with all the bags:)

EDIT:

I think most of the 5-6 bags in the 12-20 euro range has sold out, however

still seem half decent.

  • 'Didn't you hear? Shipping killed The Deal!'

lol you should have asked if anyone wanted to split the shipping cost with you before you bought them. I would have.

    • Too much hassle, and considering Crumpler bags retails at around 100 bucks locally, even with the excessive shipping, its pretty good.

      • yeah, but pretty much everything is overpriced here in aus. Considering crumplers are made in china (at least all of mine are), i don't see why i should even consider aus's retail price. Retail price are just numbers retailers put up so they can make their 'discounts' more attractive. Any hey, a dollar saved makes you an extra dollar richer. Just my 2c. :)

        • Try finding the same bags on Amazon UK, De, and others. The it prices is significantly lower than the others, so it's not just cheaper compared to au rrp.

And Btw, Crumpler are rarely discounted from their rrp, at least in Australia.

Since when? I thought crumplers were all hand made in Melbourne? or at least they were?

and it's ironic how it's cheaper to buy an Australian product overseas.

        • Read the previous Crumpler amazon thread. EU Crumpler and AU/US crumpler are different entities. Different warranties and probably different manufacturing processes as well

        • Since when? I thought crumplers were all hand made in Melbourne? or at least they were?

not sure if they were, but all my crumpler products bought during the free fug weekend are made in china.

        • They used to be all made in Melbourne, but I believe nowadays all but one of the bags are made in Asia.

  • any suggestions if I wanted a smart looking business type satchel? SOmething to put my ipad, note pad, a4 size folder etc into? Ideally, I could put my laptop in from time to time (14inch). Cheers

    • If you wear a tie, steer well clear of crumpled messenger bags. The massive patches of Velcro will destroy your ties.

      • no ties, just shirt and pants. Looking at their range, they all seem quite velcro'y and not especially smart (not something you'd take into a meeting (albeit an informal one). Was looking for something new since my leather satchel/shoulder bag was stolen out of my car :(

  • Thanks for the heads up. Got one! Re warranty - EU website says 30 years.

  • I like the meat smuggler. XL

    • thats one of the ones that I got:)

  • thanks. bought 3. O_O

  • Thanks, bought a Little Stevie + a Mood Smuggler (one of the last 15/sub-20 EUR bags it seems);

Wasn't 100% sure when I pulled the trigger last night (ozb style), but as garratt t says, when I later checked prices on the .co.uk equivalent/similar bags on crumpler.com.au it shows bags going for well over 100, so happy with a backpack + messenger for ~$AU80

  • anyone bought with Aus Credit Card? Hear that we cant use it overseas. Is it true? Appreciate any comments.

    • I bought using my 28 degree card. no problem at all.

    • I think Amazon's pretty good with all credit/debit cards, never had a issue with any cards.

If you are registering cards, its probably easier registering the card and delivery address on amazon.com or amazon.co.uk, then when you head over to .it .de etc. It will just be a matter of clicking through, the layout is identical to the Amazon.com checkout process as well.

If you are using chrome, I have found the google translate plugin pretty good from translating whole pages on the fly.
