A watch for somebody with skinny arms!

    • +1

The dimensions don't really tell the story. I've got 7.5 inch wrists and this thing sits pretty nicely and it would definitely be happy on bigger arms. It's a fairly tall piece, too.

  • Cool retro square watch. I think I paid a lot more. There's also a green one which is even cooler

    • +1

The green Seiko SNKM97 is currently $362.50 That price is not cool.

      • +1

It was cool when I got it for around $200-250 I can't remember

  • -1

I'd never buy a watch without illumination

    • +2

Maybe get a Steeldive then, the lume will blow your freakin mind.

      • -1

Not a fan of that one. Got it through price error very cheap and returned it to Bezos. I believe it was about $80 AU.

      • +1 for steeldive, can be had around $100-110 with Aliexpress sale, Coupons (and/or cashbacks).
A lot of dress/fashion watches won't have very good lume.

      • Any other watches you can recommend that have monster lume?

        • +3

Just search for Lume Wars on youtube. Just One More Watch has done some reviews.

          • +1

@WatchNerd: Thanks! I'll check it out

          • +1

@WatchNerd: The latest episode has some really cool watches.

          • @WatchNerd: I saw the Signum Cuda is the lume king. Any deals for that around?

          • @tdw: Not my cup of tea, agree, check out lume wars for ideas.
I guess it's based on the retro version so may appeal to some people.

'designed to take you deeper'… 200m aint that good as far as divers spec but not bad, same as G-shocks.
In reality it means you can dive 30-40m with no worries.

There's a review here, apparently the lume fades pretty quickly, and not a very tactical watch.

@G-rig: Yes, it's a polarising design. It's so ugly and also wonderfully nerdy that it's on my wishlist. At least I won't have to worry about anyone wanting to steal it ;)

              • @tdw: It's kind of cool and nerdy I guess, luckily not that expensive so not too much risk :).

                • -1

@G-rig: $399 as a 1-day deal couple of weeks back but waiting for it to drop further

    • -1

Why? I like lume as much as the next watch nerd and I have a couple of watches with very nice/interesting lume.
However, I find watch lume to very rarely have any practical use and is usually just a neat party trick.

With that said, I'm sure there are occupations where strong lume on a watch would be very beneficial.

    • +2

Dress watches don't come with illumination.

      • Either do must cheap ones

      • BGW9 on my Cronos explorer.
        It's pretty dressy

First watch I've seen posted here that wasn't ugly.

    • And here was I thinking that's a watch only its mother could love :)
