          If you use the 2000 points = $10 equation, that means you will get 10% of the gift card’s face value returned to you in the form of Everyday Rewards points.

    Tried just now on checkout, $50 DJ gift card does NOT show any bonus point on the terminal. $100 DJ gift card does NOT show any bonus point either

    Based on past experience with this kind of promotion, if the bonus point does not show on the spot, more than 50% chance they will NEVER show up. You will have to contact reward support and hope they manually credit it

    Does this stack with targeted "boost" deals in the app? I currently have one for 10x points on any Woolies spend in the app… so would I get 10x * 20x points if I bought one of these cards?

      Sadly not. You'll only earn the 20x points if you buy these gift cards.

          Tested myself and it’s a very well established fact among those who frequently participate in these promotions. Gift cards used to count toward the ‘spend $X, to earn Y bonus points’ offers but they closed that loophole a couple of years ago.

          It is definitely written somewhere.

          If you look at the terms and conditions of the booster in question in the app, it should say this towards the bottom of the terms and conditions:

          There are a small number of purchases on which you won't collect points. For details, see this FAQ.

          If you go to the FAQ linked in the terms, it says this:

          No points will be collected on smoking products, gift cards (including Woolworths WISH Gift Cards, e-gift cards and iTunes)…

          If you go to the full terms and conditions listed at the bottom of the FAQ, under clause 7, it will say this:

          This paragraph 7 applies to a purchase except to the extent that we advertise differently in the terms and conditions of a specific promotion.

          You will not collect Everyday Rewards points on any money you spend on smoking products, gift cards (including Woolworths WISH Gift Cards, e-gift cards and iTunes)…

          In other words, the only kind of Everyday Rewards points you are allowed to collect when purchasing gift cards at a participating business are from promotions where it specifically mentions you will earn points for purchasing the advertised gift cards.

          The second sentence from @VantageXL in their comment above is mostly correct, although I will add that before Everyday Rewards implemented an update around August 2022 to close the loophole, some (but not all) points boosters were triggered by purchases of some (but not all) gift cards. I do not recall any of the gift cards in this deal being accidentally triggered by points boosters by the time Everyday Rewards closed the loophole.

      The participating retailer lists are just for the multi-retailer Ultimate gift cards. Regular David Jones gift cards are also included in this promotion as you can see from the image.
