Still no nappy pants though 😕

    • +1

Yep still check every day - zzzzz and the colesworths ‘sales’ over last few months have been pretty damn average.

    • +1

Been struggling to find nappy pants on sale too

      • The small packs of babylove are half price at Coles. Plus $15 off a 180 order.

        • Sale ended yesterday 😔

  • Used to be $48 S&S. Thank god we don’t need them anymore for our toddler.

    • +1

On the upside, it has really motivated us to push our toddler towards Potty training more…

      • Same!

      • Tried 3 different potty seats but toddler adamantly refuses.. any tips?

        • +1

We just used incentives and praise so they got excited to go. Ours would only use the stairs to the real toilet that had handles rather then a potty.

          Good luck with it

        • +4

It’s a bit of dosh but we are having success with this toilet seat -

          https://www.bunnings.com.au/caroma-white-soft-close-family-t…

We had previously tried two brands of seat adapter with steps, and a little cheap plastic potty, and the one from Kmart with battery powered flush sounds but this is the only one we had success with.. so far.

Depends on age. We tried to do ours at 2.5 yrs old for 2 weeks and think we went too early and gave it a break for another 8 months for our own mental sanity.

Gave it another go at 3 yrs and 4 months, took 1 week and haven't looked back since.

The only tip I can gave is, keep saying the same consistent line to your child and one day the mind will form a connection to their bowels.

Ours was "if you feel like it's coming, run straight to the toilet and we'll be there to help you".

We literally repeated that over and over again for 1 week straight and one day it just clicked and she ran to the toilet and been great since.

  • Awesome to see that they're back! Too bad I bought about two months worth from Coles when they were about 33c.

    Thanks for posting.

  • finally Huggies Nappies back in stock it out of stock for a long time

  • +1

Thanks, bought 3, was running really low on my last pack which i bought around february. What i found is that it is convenient to alternate these with the coles CUB ones. These are very good at holding dry the whole night, and then during the day i would use the cheap coles ones.

    • $11.5 too for around 60 nappies?, much better spend than huggies

    • -1

That's my plan too, the huggies are really good through the night. The last thing you want to do is wake the baby up to change nappies.

How do you rate the CUB ones for during the day? I tried the Aldi ones, they seemed to leave my baby's bottom a little red.

      • +1

The cub ones don't last long. I feel they they get filled very quick, they break apart and they stink a bit more than Huggies, but they are cheaper and you don't waste too much money when you have to throw them away when they haven't been completely filled/used. E.g. If i need to change nappies an hour before going to bed, which is when i know i will need to put a Huggies, then I'll use a cub. Or if i know the baby is about to poop soon, I'll use a cub

      • -1

Use the CUB for the day, and huggies if on sale for the night.

Worked a treat so far for 6.5month old.

  • Nice thanks for posting.

  • By memory the standard price for the size 3 180s is roughly $63 at Costco

  • 180 at Woolworths right now is $60

    • +1

Can't beat Amazon when used with Subscribe & Save.

  • Price matching woolies, been a while since they've price matched anything.

  • -3

Costco is cheaper than Amazon S&S FYI

    • Do you have a link or photo? I can add it to the post.

    • +1

Costco is about $54 for a smaller pack. Amazon is cheaper

    • +1

      standard price $62.99 for:
      184 in size 3
      148 in size 4
      132 in size 5

      on special is $54.99

      so no not cheaper…

    Are these made in AU?

    • +3

      Nope - made in China

  • Damn that inflation. The monthly pack for size 5 went from $60 a pack to $130

    Try Japanese nappies.
    Merries way better than Huggies
    Moony=Japanese version of babylove

    • Agree! The Merries nappies are really affordable in smaller sizes too

    • Moony was 0.44c each, the 58pack.
Merries was 0.37 each, the 76pack.

  • Thanks got size 4 on amazon as it’s finally back

  • How do these compare to the Woolworths branded "Little One's Size 3" which works out at $0.20ea?

    • I found little ones have their filling loose. If your child does a big wee the absorbent rolls around freely. Doesn't hold as much as huggies too

  • Can I cancel the subscription after I've ordered (but before the nappies have been delivered)?

    • +1

Yes, but wait for the shipping notification first.

Standard price for mamia from ALDI?

Huggies are on par at best, don't be fooled by brand name.

    • +1

Overnight huggies still beat Aldi mamia

    • You're dreaming if you think Mamia is on par with Huggies

This is not a good deal. catch.com has Pampers size 3 198 pack for $61.

    https://www.catch.com.au/product/pampers-baby-dry-crawler-si…

    • +2

      Will just leave this here.

      Pampers - $61 / 198 = $0.308
      Huggies - $51 / 180 = $0.283

It may not be the lowest deal, but imo pretty good with inflation where it is.

    • +1

Pampers are not good compared to Huggies

    • I bought the Pampers when I was trying to find a cheaper option for my son. Amazon had them on a super special for Prime Day - they were super thin, which is fine if they absorb, but they just didn't. I used twice as many and got constant poo blowouts… I was glad to finish the pack and we never used them out of the house.

  • It's all sold out now anyways.

    • @lordra they're back in stock. I assume you were after the boys size 3.

      • +1

I snoozed and loosed again @LostyJai, thank you though, really appreciate the effort!

Edit - I just kept refreshing and it just came back in stock, ordered, whoooo!
        Thanks mate!

        • True bargain hunter, paid off! Congrats!
