Ryobi One+ 18V 40cm Hedge Trimmer Kit $99 In-Store Only @ Bunnings

830

More Ryobi deals!

Walked into Bunnings to grab the pruning saw and saw this on sale too.

Good if you need a cheap reliable hedge trimmer or if you just want the battery/charger.
Hedge trimmer works quite well. Suprisingly powerful for the cost. For simple hedges around home, it compares quite well to my 18V brushless model.

Thanks OP, been wanting a hedge trimmer for a while. Now I can throw out my rusty shears.

Few stores in Sydney area have stock so they must be trying to clear this model.

    • That's a different model.

    • Roughly $60 on marketplace for brand new.

Bunnings website is bugging out. Just saw a ladder for $2.50. was about to post it here then it changed back to normal price. Checked powerpass and the price for this Ryobi trimmer is legit at $99

"was about to post it here then it changed back to normal price"

bought this morning in store at Waurn Ponds VIC. There are 2 similar models: the one listed in this bargain has pommel handle $99 looked like regular price - I bought it. There is also this model https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-one-18v-40cm-2-0ah-cordles… but it's $199.

  • I was just about to buy the Ozito PXC version last night but this seem to have a wider cut capacity. But will not let me buy online even if there are stores nearby available with stock. Oh well.

    • The $150 Ozito PXC one uses two batteries, it'll have a shedload more grunt than this offer deal.
I had the higher end Ryobi clipper back in the UK, it jams at surprisingly thin branches…this one looks even flimsier, so I'll stick with the Ozito one I purchased late last week (but haven't opened yet) …
I'm glad I got the 3x4.0AH batteries for $99 offer now!

  • 10 in stock in Melville, WA. I’m there now.

  • search ryobi 18v hedge trimmer from Bunning website. you will get link and click it.

  • Thanks got one for my wife for mothersday as she has been wanting a headge trimmer for a while.

About 6 left at Bankstown Airport just now. Hidden in the section to the right as you walk in.

  • Thanks OP!
Got one from Nunawading, where there are 2 left. None left at Doncaster

  • Thanks grabbed one

The link is also now working again

  • OOS online as well.

  • Does anyone know what type of plant-friendly lubricant should be used before and after use?

  • Perfect mother's day gift. Thanks OP

Is this better than the whipper snipper line trimmer? I need one to cut grass

    • Hell no, completely different uses. This is intended for trimming bushes not grass. Get a whipper snipper for grass.

  • Now I need a blower to go with this

    Thanks for posting this OP.

My neighbour has hedges over my place on fence. Lovely bloke says let me know and I'll cut them on your side. $99 save me hassling him.

What's the ozB approved method of lubrication? Can I use canola oil in spray?

    • +1

      Best neighbour ever haha.

Any engine grade oil is good. Otherwise I guess any oil is better than none haha.
I got WD-40 Hedge Trimmer Lubricant

      • Did the hedges over my fence tonight. Approx 15m x 1m high. Took 3 mins to hedge them with the new unit and 20 mins to sweep them up. Used to take me 1 hour with pruner and 20 minute to sweep. Will register product for 6 year warranty and go OzB mode for warranty claim very soon at bunnings. Recommend.

  • $71.25 at my local in WA. (3381420 code#)

    Edit:
Actually, that's the pole type hedge trimmer. With the extendable pole

  • Mine has is fried, smells burnt. Can't find another replacement. Going to bring back at special orders for them to order it in. Wonder if it was the vegetable oil on the blade . Hopefully easy change over.

    • Is there smoke or it just smells burnt? Some oils do that.
If it's properly broken, Ryobi warranty is a banger. Replacement or replacement for similar (usually better/newer) model

      • It just smells burnt. Absolutely no smoke at all, wish it was in stock. Bunnings said I can order through the special orders desk. It's not in stock not even skin only.

  • Unfortunately no other skins in stock. Bunnings want to refund the item, won't order in a replacement skin for me.

  • I got a replacement skin ordered via special orders took 90 mins.

Literally had to place ryobi on the phone with Bunnings. Front end Wanted to refund and told me to buy the $199 kit which is in stock. Seems like an extra $100 to me. I troll ozB I ain't spending another $100. Anyone know how long I can get a refund for with a ryobi product. I won't be able to find a other skin again as it's promotion.

  • Skin replaced via Bunning special orders!
