EDIT: looks like it's gone up to $84.99 as of 02/08, can't mark as expired though (mods can you please assist?)

$89.00 at JB and over $100 at EB so this looks to be the best price currently.

Yeah yeah never pre-order but Amazon don't charge until shipping, and you'll get the lowest price it goes to throughout the length of the pre-order, so you can cancel anytime no dramas.

Likely going to be more of a niche title in their catalogue but very excited for some mech action.

Release Date: August 25, 2023.

“Feed the fire. Let the last cinders burn.” ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON combines FromSoftware’s longstanding expertise in mech games with their signature action gameplay to bring a brand-new, high octane experience to the series. In ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, players will assemble their mech from a wide variety of parts and weaponry to soar freely through mission locales that redefine three-dimensional mobility. Face down overwhelming opposition by outgunning and overrunning your enemies with dynamic movement that makes full use of ranged and melee combat.

I loved playing armoured core. I remember saving my mech onto a memory card to take to my friends house to fight his mech.

    So dope

Played every Armored Core since PS1. Will have to buy a PS5 just for this.

    • It's also on PS4

Never played any mech games. But this is made by FromSoftware so I'm tempted.

    • Man they were awesome back in the day on the PS3. So far ahead of their times. I don't know what to expect for this one but their other games have all been amazing hits.

  • thanks op ordered one

    • That is a very american mentality.

Here in Australia we can easily return bad games, with the only exception being if you buy digital via PSN (since they ignore Australian consumer rights).

It is extremly easy to return on amazon.

I would much rather pay $75 than $100 on release, physical preorders are always cheaper than picking the game up after launch untill they discount it a few months later.

  • I used to love these games! Back in the days of AC2/3/Nexus/Last Raven/Nine Breaker … that arena-only one on the PSP, there were so many! They did all get a bit samey after a while and I think I gave up before 4 came out.

    Might dive back in :)

I hope FROM have made this fun. Tried and failed to get into Elden Ring recently. It may be the best game on earth according to its fans, but it's not for me.

It definitely requires a lot of patience, I really enjoyed ER but can see why some people may not dig it.

I haven't played an armored core game before (only real exposure is daemon x machina) but from what they've been saying it's pretty true to the usual AC formula, with a bit of the action from their recent games mixed in but doubt it'll be Robo Dark Souls.

      • I'm more of an Assassin's Creed: Valhalla kinda guy. That's about enough RPG for me, and the combat was a lot more forgiving :)

Tempted, but I don't trust Amazon's packaging, especially with cardboard game sleeves. It's likely to be thrown in a bubble mailer, get squashed and corners dented.

    • Amazon keep shoving games in my mailbox usually destroying the case in the process.

      • Same, I've since locked my letterbox so they have to leave it near the front door instead. ;-)

  • Where's the PS4 version?

    • Weirdly enough I don't see the physical copy for sale anywhere, whereas the Xbox version has smart delivery so this copy will work on Xbox One as well.

Only PS4 copy I could find was on play-asia for like $104, maybe they're not distributing it outside of the Asian market?

      • Nah it's on the official bandai namco website

so it's probably just slow to get in the system of local distributors
