Always check gg.deals before buying from Steam even during their sales.
$47.29 in gamebillet
$50+ seems like a lot for a 3.5 year old game. I remember buying Bioshock 2 for $10 in 2011 (released in 2010), and I bought Crysis 2 for $17 in 2012 (released in 2011).
There are a lot of reasons for this. But I'll let you Google them

What are they? I heard that Elden Ring is inferior to Skyrim in most ways.
They are completely different games
same, letting my lack of spending on games do the talking (probably ~$100 total since covid)
Mate, I got it three months after it came out for $55. And now, three years later, it's still about the same price.
But… considering how much games cost now, it's still a great deal. You get over 100h of awesome gameplay for 50 bucks.
Compares to cheaper but highly praised games like lords of the fallens 2, lies of p etc. Elden ring still holds its value well.
