[NSW] Thinkware U1000 32GB 4K Front / 2K Rear Dashcam $699 Installed @ Bankstown Sound & Marine

90

A good price for a branded 2 channel dashcam installed if you're local. They hooked mine up last year and did a really nice job hiding all the cables and hardwiring it.

The cam has been holding up well and I haven't had to mess with it since day one. It does have some chatty voice notifications, but you can shut those off if they bug you.

Here's a recent vid captured for you to have a squiz at. Enjoy!

perhaps also NSW…. the installation is the deal right?

        • good call, done

  • Solid dashcam would recommend it

Bet sales will be going through the roof after that possible insurance fraud/carjacking incident in Browns Plains. Gotta get that ooh soo sweet dashcam footage of a person jumping infront of a roo barred ute and their soccer like performance of injury as well as the performance of the aid providing Samaritan. Then upload to Dashcam Owners Australia for all of us to have a snicker. Getting my popcorn ready!

  • Does any battery pack work for thinkware?
I have the neopack for my blackvue, 1st time using thinkware

    • +1

It should, as you either connect via a special socket connector or hardwire it to the supplied battery cable. Thinkware also have their own battery too, the iVolt.

    My excess is only $500.

Wonder how much installation would be? $589 at autobarn

    • Was quoted $150 ~5 years ago on airtasker with me supplying all the parts (need hardwire cable and a fusetap)

    • autobarn
      $200 for front, around $300 for front/back

Doubt they could do a 2ch installation for $110. Quotes I have been getting for 2ch dashcam installs usually range around $200 - $300.

      Hope that helps :)

  • Just beware this dashcam talks way too much and not Sony Starvis 2 sensor

    • IIRC you can turn off a number of warnings/features via the app and it becomes quieter.

Even though it doesn't use the Sony Starvis 2 sensor, it's still a good camera but If you do want to turn off the extra features like lane keep assist, and want the newer sensor then it's probably best to look at something like the Viofo A139.

        Viofo A139 Pro

        • Thanks! Sorry, can't edit the comment now. 😓 Hopefully people will be able to tell the difference.

  • Good price. I paid $499 + $250 for F+R install.

  • I paid 450 and installed myself. No issues so far
