Shopback claims on eBay auction

Hi folks,

I purchased a pre-own tech item on eBay via auction, after clicking through shopback.
Is it possible to get the shopback cashback given that there will have been history of me clicking through to eBay virtually a minute before I successfully bid on an auction? Is it just a matter of making the payment and ensuring the seller marks the item as being sent?

  • Lol isn't it like 1.5% across the board for existing customers? I wouldn't sweat it, it's probably like 20c.

    • True. Thought it would still be good to know for when i happen to get a high value item thats not an electronic item and when there's upsized cashbacks on offer.

      • Even on a 2k purchase you're looking at $2? I would be more focused on getting a good bid snipe than messing around with cashbacks.

  • What did shopback say?

    • It doesn't mention auctions.

      • What did they say when you asked them?

        • Theres no email address to use. Just a chatbot that's not useful.

  • Are you going to read the Shopback website or are you just going to wait till someone gives you the answer?

Items with Best Offer accepted prices and Auctions are not eligible for Cashback I'm afraid, per eBay's "Dont's" on our website. If the item has a Best Offer and a Buy Now option, the Buy Now is fine, but any Offer or Auction prices will be invalidated by eBay.
