First-time poster, was looking to buy this a few months ago but couldn't find any active discounts. Not an all-time low but still pretty decent for anyone wanting to get one.

Why would any one buy one ? Most useless piece of tad I have ever seen. But the PRICE is a shocker. It's nothing but a kids toy.

      1. Buy camera
      2. Go to tourism hotspot and charge people $5-10 for a photo
      3. Become the richest man alive
    • Gen Z seem to have developed a massive hard-on for instant cameras as of the last 2-3 years or so. Posting photos of your instant photos on Instagram is all the rage.

I don't get it either but from what I can see, that's primarily why these things have made a huge comeback in recent times.
It's all part of the burgeoning retro-nostalgia wave of 80s/90s pop culture that rides off the back of the legions of Gen Z/Millennial autists and their fondness for products from their childhoods.

These have been pretty hard to come by for about a year now. They're flipped for about a hundred more on ebay. Sub $200 on ebay is possible from retailers if you're willing to wait and keep an eye out.

  • Already had an Instax printer myself, but I ordered this yesterday morning and cancelled it by the afternoon. Reason being the sensor is way too small, watched some videos and even under ideal lighting conditions the dynamic range was terrible.

I bring a camera with me most of the time, and even if I don't a print from my iPhone 11 is going to be better, and as I already had a printer, didn't make sense to dump more dough. Since the point of digital to film is to save film, this didn't feel like this was achieving that very well.
