Considering it was 899 at TGG yesterday, not so great deal but thanks for posting

    • +7

TGG did not have any stock in any mayor post code, 2000, 3000, 4000, 5000.
They told me they only have 1 display unit in Sydney…

    isnt this like rrp price

    • +2

It's been out of stock for a while. Most stores (including the official rrp from Breville), have it for much more expensive.

At around this time of year, Breville seems to switch back to selling the "Dynamic Duo" combo, where you have to buy both the excellent BDB and the sub-par Smart Grinder Pro as a more expensive package. I looked into this before purchasing a BDB earlier this year, and from what I could tell Breville only seems to sell the BDB as an individual item around the Christmas / New Years period.

No idea why they do this (the BDB deserves to be paired with a much better grinder than the SGP, it's a bit like forcing you to buy a set of Winrun tyres with a Ferrari). But there's been plenty of Dynamic Duo stock available in stores recently (including at TGG), even when the BDB has been out of stock.

      This is RRP - https://www.breville.com/au/en/products/espresso/bes920.html…
$2200 direct from Breville and they say that's still discounted!

Best price since the last DJ deal due to the fact there's been no stock

    • Is the dual boiler get discontinued? Hence stock problem? Thanks

  • My order has been canceled. Don’t even bother…

    • My order is pending pickup and they took the money. Will let you know if I manage to get one.

Just picked up mine from Bondi junction

      • That’s awesome. I guess the store I tried click and collect for didn’t have stock so they ended up canceling. When I choose it to be delivered instead, I received email saying its booked for delivery. Is your one the updated version?

        • I hope… is BES920BSS the updated model?

          • @stratefy: You can check it from the serial number:

"The earliest machine I currently know of to have the new boilers is date code 2228 (28th week of 2022) and Breville said they change was fully implemented as of late 2022. (To find your date code, read the serial number and the first four numbers you come across after the "A1BAAESA" or similar string is the year/week)."

My Breville Smart Grinder failed 2 weeks of their voluntary warranty.

They don't want to do anything about it, nor to JB where i bought it.
Not impressed, if they don't do something about it i'll push the issue.

Not willing to be part of a society where a supposed good companys flagship model fails in 2 years of light - medium use and that's acceptable.
Should have a 3-5 year warranty minimum for domestic use.

    • +2

If you don't already know about it, look into statutory warranty. JB or Breville have to replace it.

  • Will be perfect with GC from coles with extra 15%

    • Still going? Myer gc or Coles myer gc? Thanks
