        Tbh, I have never used a heated blanket in my life. I just use normal woollen blankets and they are warm enough for me.

          @RSmith: for a bed I occasionally use an electric blanket just to pre-heat but never sleep with it on.

          Heated throw I'd be more likely to just use whilst sitting on the couch, but I've never used one. I just use an Oodie which is plenty warm!

    I think I'd prefer to go with a better brand for something electrical that I'm going to possibly be sleeping on or under.

    Bought the Aldi one and found out that it's 100 watt and not toasty enough. This one is 160 watt and bigger. Returning the Aldi one and buying a Sunbeam 150 watt from Hardly Normal for $69. Would have bought this but don't have Costco membership.

  If you’re struggling to afford the cost of using a spaceheater these things are great for sitting on the couch or in a lounge chair for reading. So cheap to run (though they work best underneath a regular rug or blanket).

  I've been looking for a replacement for my Jason one that I got 4 years ago since the cord frayed.

  The Jason ones to be $50 at Woolworths (and then often reduced to $25 on clearance as seen on previous deals here), but they put the RRP of them to $89 now (e.g. at Big W) — I'm thinking because they became online (e.g. Product Review, blog reviews, etc).
