They need to up the ante and give the burger away for free like Hungry Jacks!
And throw in the free chips for making it so hard to find a Red Rooster these days! :P

    • +4

and throw in a free drink cos of the crap food.

      • +1

HJ did a good deal. Whopper and small fries for $2.
Much better deal I reckon, bigger burger. Smaller ships but $1 cheaper.

    • Red Rooter are everywhere in QLD.

Bought a Hawaiian pack lst night as I hadn't had one for years and wanted the banana. Very disappointed to find out it was half a banana sliced lengthwise to make it look like a whole banana. :(

    • +5

Wow! You paid 10 bucks for a Hawaiian pack? How un-ozbargainian of you.
      A pack's not even worth 5 bucks.

      • +15

Yeah I know… I just wanted to relive some memories of back when I was 8 years old. Probably would've been cheaper to just grow a mullet.

        • +6

The mental cost of a mullet is too great… even for an Ozbargainer.

        • +1

Yeah, I got the 2 packs for $10 bucks a few months ago.
Still tastes awesome, and mine didn't have half a banana missing. :)
Just can't believe the prices of red rooster.

    • +2

and WHY bundle it with a drink - what if you don't want a drink.

    • Ah, you were sucked in by the ads about expanding their culinary rectum eh?

  • +1

I knew I could count on ozbargain, the IT guy has upped the security on the work computers and I cant click thru on this deal from the email, but it works from ozbargain :) :)

      get back to work!!! :)

  • Never had a Red Rooster burger, is it a chicken fillet or processed chicken?

    • +4

      Their site says of the cheeseburger;

Only if they still had the Chicken, Cheese and Bacon burger… you know the one that had real chicken in it!
Stopped going there when they stopped calling a Strip sub a Strip Sub…. I dont want a Ripper what ever that is .. I want a Strip sub GDI!

    • Rippa with classic suace is exactly the same.

  • +1

+1 for the deal and for the name.

  • +7

These constant food bargains are cheap, but they get you on the expensive crane hiring fees to enable you to leave your house

  • +2

I bought the Rippa sub on the weekend and got food poisoning. Avoid the Airport West Red Rooster at all costs.

and Logan Central in Brisbane (and it's happened on more than 1 occasion)

  • +2

the burgers are not better are red rooster. (unless its made out of real chicken). which the cheese burger aint.

  • +2

If the burger wasn't vomit-worthy it would be a good deal.

  • Not bad. You save $1, seeing as you can get that burger and chips for $2 each on there $2 snack menu.

The burgers are okay for $2 each. Would have liked a drink to be added on that menu though.

Legends meal was pretty good value as well, in both taste, price and quantity.

    • +3

The $2 snack chips is small, this is regular.

  • gives me something new to choose from instead of always having HJs whoppers :P

  • -1

Cheeseburger + Chips = $3 at Maccas, what is this.

  • nobody edited the pic yet? make it a whole chicken like the previous deal =p

  • I've always found Red Rooster burgers to be repulsive. Threw up when I first set foot in there at the tender age of 6, and recently got around to trying out a chicken burger… never again.

  • Has it worked for anyone?

Also could someone make a 8 coupon pdf?
