  It would’ve been clearer if the manufacturer simply called it a
  “Skin Whitening Product”. Quite shocked to see a big name brand like Clinic selling this. Makes me wonder how many others big makeup manufacturers do the same.

    Skin whitening is VERY big in most asian countries where white skin indicates you don't go outside much and therefore not a labourer.
