    I use Tapos and they automatically record movement detections to the microsd. Considered Ring but the ongoing fees and much higher initial costs didn't seem worthwhile. At least not until Tapo starts charging ongoing fees for local backup or something.

      oh yeh the AI is awesome so many types of detections too. Motion with sensitivity, person, line crossing, tampering all in this little budget camera

      loved it so much I bought a 2K outdoor version with spotlight (links to AI/motion detection) - brilliant coming back homw at night trying to get the keys in. Good brightness too for the tiny LEDs

      I have tried the C100 and C200 (there are newer versions of both out now, c110, c210). The app is pretty user friendly too, and there's where you access/control everything.

      If I could justify the spend, I'd probably go with Ring, but Tapo is a fantastic, cheaper, alternative if you just want to buy and set/forget.
