  • Thanks, bought 4x1.1L bottles

Ordered a metal bottle for a spare. Worth a dollar assuming they have stock.

Also $1 "Thermos"/Reusable coffee cups. Not sure how good the insulation is for a dollar though.

    • Says stainless steel, bit with a silicone band to stop burning fingers…. initially I thought was a plastic cup

  • Bought a few online at various stores in my area as the stock was showing available but all were refunded so I'm guessing there's a lag on their website

Or they just didn’t want to deal with you.

      • Yeah hence why both stores rang me to organise a refund as opposed to the easy option of them collecting the item and putting it in click and collect

  • Thanks OP. Ordered a couple.
    Let's hope I get it 🤞
    Cheers

  • Order is cancelled

Those bottles $1 and under should be banned. I got like tons thanks to business promotions.

      Ok boomer

  • all looks like full price to me now….

  • Order isn't cancelled yet! Come on officeworks, daddy needs a new pair of bottles

  • These are ok for cold water but don't bother with hot. It's not double walled and you'll burn yourself with hot metal.

  • Refunded. There's stock showing at another store (Northmead - metal green if anyone wants to try) but it's not worth going out of my way for

Because a dollar or less isn't worth using someone else's bottle you don't know where's been and that's been lying outside in the dirt and elements for days..

That and those HDPE bottles are given away (unused!) everywhere.

being an ozbargainer is all about being frugal but what you're suggesting is just gross.

      • Have you ever realised that when you eat at a restaurant you are using second hand (or 4594th hand) drinking and eating utensils. You survive because they have a thing called 'washing'

        • Difference is glasses go from table to commercial dishwasher where they use commercial grade cleaning agents (not Morning Fresh or Finish lol) in less than an hour. Cutlery and glasses get wiped and polished. Anything that isn't up to scratch either goes back to clean better or gets chucked out. Restaurants are forced to have extremely strict hygiene standards.

Is it worth getting sick over saving a dollar on a drink bottle because you didn't clean it well enough (which you wouldn't be able to tell as you can't see germs lol). Even if you did: is your time to go to the soccer fields and back, clean it all up nicely and dry it worth so little?

          • @pennypincher98: have you ever worked at a restaurant? I can tell you the chef's knives and most of the pots and pans are not put through a commercial dishwasher for an hour or at all (few of the chef's utensils go anywhere near a dishwasher). No one really checks things are cleaned, people are sending things out at high speed. At home you can soak things in bottle sterilising fluid if you are that concerned or spend a few extra minutes cleaning things to your heart's content. What is your time worth - sitting around watching TV for a few extra minutes?

I can't believe I have to say this, but you don't eat with chefs knives or out of pots lmao.

What?? Whatever this restaurant you worked in I never want to visit. Chefs and dishies should ALWAYS check plates are cleaned. I've done 500+ in 3 hours and we checked every plate, cup, cutlery as it came out and chefs will also check when they take plate down to serve.
It really isn't hard to see if a plate or glass is dirty lol.

If that's how you choose to spend your life go ahead.

If you're going to shift the goalposts again on your next response, don't bother replying.

now, i haven't eaten at a restaurant for quite a few decades, so i might be out of touch, but i doubt those eating and drinking utensils were in an environment where they were exposed to soil and/or animal excrement in the first place.

Man, have I got a lot to show you…

            Ever met a chef?

            • @dtc: Maybe I just worked in higher class areas and restaurants but everywhere I've worked they actually care for their knives, clean and pack them properly.

I'm sure the Food Authority would love to inspect the place of a chef who rubs his knife in dog shit every morning before service.

HA HA HA… All these Negs for a joke!!
Obvioulsy you people didn't find out what an Autoclave machine does!!!
You do realise that the equipment they use in Surgery is USED!!! If it's sterile enough to cut you open, it's sterile enough to drink out of!!!

  • Loads at cheap prices if you don't set your store to your local, but as soon as I changed to my local store prices are $5 and up :(
