12 Months Amazon Prime Membership for 24,000 Points & Get 2,000 Points Back @ Telstra Plus Reward Store

4190

With the upcoming Prime price increase to $79 a year this seems like a good deal if you have a lot of Telstra points and annually sub to Prime.

24000 points for 12 months of prime stacked with the current offer "For every 10,000 points used in a single transaction, receive 1,000 bonus points. Use points, get points before 29 May" so you will get 2000 points back.

Bonus points will be applied to your account within 14 days of making a redemption.

I have stacked multiple years successfully to avoid the price rise, ̶n̶o̶t̶ ̶s̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶b̶o̶n̶u̶s̶ ̶2̶k̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶e̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶s̶u̶b̶s̶e̶q̶u̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶p̶u̶r̶c̶h̶a̶s̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶ ̶d̶e̶t̶a̶i̶l̶e̶d̶ ̶T̶&̶C̶s̶ ̶I̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶

EDIT - Have already received 2000 points back 4 times for 4 different transactions so you get points back every time for multiple purchases.

Mine worked fine and I had a current membership I don't think the phone rep knows what they are talking about. Telstra also stated that it works for current members on the page when purchasing.

    • +1

That's false. I have a current membership. Just managed to use the code by using a safari browser!

    • Like everyone else who's managed to redeem it for a current Prime membership, I've actually redeemed two years' worth of membership last week (next renewal is in December 2025). 48k points in total but I redeemed it using two separate transactions.

Used Firefox on my desktop if that helps.

    • I was on a chat with the same issue on the PC, and got told there's an error. Meanwhile, I redeemed the code phone on my android mobile. I told them there's nothing wrong with the code

    • +1

Update: So everyone is correct, the Amazon advice was just plain wrong, adding the code worked for me on Edge (but not on Chrome, even though its working for others) on PC using this link: https://www.amazon.com.au/prime/promo/landing
Thanks to all who provided instructions, sorry for the bum steer via Amazon.

    • Yes, I am having the same issue.
Even through on the Telstra T&C it says it works with active membership
Code won't extend. I have spend hours on the phone and chat with both Telstra and Amazon they are useless.

  • I tried using my points but since I dont have 24k, I tried to use the 8000 points but when I select checkout, it just takes me to 404 error page. Anyone else also facing the same issue?

FYI… I am no longer with Telstra but my account still works.

Edit: I cant checkout anything. Just takes me to the 404 error page

    Safari browser worked for me!!!

    • +1

      This is the way

    • Doesn't work for me….

  • what's the approx worth of a Telstra point?

    • +1

600 points is equal to a dollar (from Telstra support chat)

  • if you sign up for Boost, do you get a Telstra account/points?

    • Yes. I'm doing it right this moment. :)

      • i have a new boost sim card (not yet activated)

do i create a telstra account then link it? the card says create a boost account to activate.

        • +1

Tbh once I was with boost, I did the forget Telstraid it then sent me in email. I used that to login.

    • I asked, they said no. I have Boost and never got pts

  • I just did this the other day given the price hike news. Great post!

  • +1

Damn! I checked out from Telstra and got the code. When i enter it in the Amazon promo landing page i get this error "We’re sorry. We’re unable to complete your Prime signup at this time. If you would still like to join Prime you can sign up during checkout."

I am on an annual plan expiring 5th May 2024.

      I’m getting the same thing

    • same problem for me on PC - but then it worked on my mobile

    • Use safari on an ios device

      • This was my fix, chrome and Firefox on mobile and desktop continued to fail

  • Any good deals for Disney?

  • +1

Google Chrome Browser worked on PC
    Mobile browser didn't work
    Microsoft Edge PC didn't work

    • Thanks, it worked for me on Chrome on PC.

  • Anyone got back 2k points from the redemption?

    • +1

      Wait 2 weeks.

  • +1

Was a mission to get the code from Telstra.

Tried landing page on Chrome (PC), Edge (PC) and Safari (iOS) - all failed. Finally worked on Chrome (iOS). Thanks!

    Thanks OP
I have an existing monthly subscription and I followed the above instructions
    1) Use Chrome
    2) https://www.amazon.com.au/prime/promo/landing

    It extended by 12 months

  • how do you stack multiple years of amazon membership?

    • +1

I just bought multiple vouchers and applied them it extended 12 months each time.

      • +1

besides from Telstra where to buy vouchers?

        • not sure personally I just stacked these ones from Telstra

          • @Teh White Mamba: how did you get so many Telstra points?

            • @Poor Ass: mostly through all the bonus offers that are generally posted here using the marketplace or getting bonus points by pretending to cancel services and getting a 20k retention bonus etc along with a monthly spend of about $220 for our family phones/internet.

              • @Teh White Mamba: $220 a month! that's a premium but I guess you deserve the points if you ya spending that much

                • @Poor Ass: I live in a rural town with 1 general store in the middle of nowhere so nobody else really offers decent coverage apart from Telstra.

  • Used Firefox & https://www.amazon.com.au/prime/promo/landing, worked like a charm

    • Did you get your 2k points back?

  • Thanks OP!!!

  • Brilliant, worked first go. Thanks OP!

  • Looking to get into Telstra, any cheap sim only plans or discounts other than what is on their website?

    • The jb hifi/good guys plans that pop up every now and then.. some are better than others.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Just extended mine until October 2026.

    • Is this the record of how far you can push it out?

      Is there a limit?

    • Hahaha I'm guessing you were like "oh Telstra rewards I didn't know I have that"

      72000 points to spend wow

      • I’ve been banking them for ages on the business account. Every time I’ve tried to place an order for an item the system just shits the bed and I end up fighting Telstra for a sub-par rewards product that simply never works.

  • Sigh just used up my points on a magsafe charger and 20w power adaptor…..

  • +2

Redeemed three times, Prime membership now paid up til November 2026

Had 130k Telstra points, never redeemed any and some were about to expire

I figure with the price rise to $79 soon subsequent years will cost even more so this seems good value for me

  • I recently used my points to buy a physical product from Telstra rewards that did not work. Trying to return was a huge Hassel.

Will only use my points for digital products like this in the future.

    • Yes!!! Same experience, they are hopeless. I only get digital products after that

  • How many can you stack?

    • I did 4 until July 2027 didn't want to risk any more in case it didn't work but it may not have a limit

      • I redeemed 3 times until Nov 2026, 4th attempt (which would take it to Nov 2027) now failing, might just give away the code to friends

  • Id rather pay $79 per year than be with Telstra 🤣😁🤣

  • How to get points if you are short by 11,000?

    • +1

You are usualy able to use points + cash to buy things from the rewards store but this offer doesn't seem to allow it, you're out of luck I think.

  • +2

I redeemed 12 months no issues, but then I purchased another 3 months for 8,000 points and for some weird reason I am unable to redeem them? Chatting with Telstra now and they are going to refund my 8,000 points - anyone else have the same issue or know or a work around? I've tried Safari on my phone - no go - tried Chrome and Firefox on my laptop and both no go.

  • Bought something from the store last time did not come, twice! Ended up exchanging for Amazon gift cards.

  • I get the following error when I click checkout

    404 Page not found.
    Head back to Telstra Plus.

  • There was a problem with applying your promo code to your account.
You are signed up for a Prime plan through your mobile carrier.

I guess have to wait for the optus 6mth to expire.

    • Were you able to apply the voucher code at all, or it still wont work? I just cancelled my optus subhub subscription, however, it still says i cant apply

  • My redemption isnt working, regardless of different browsers or PCs/phone.
i feel it wont really help to get in touch with Amazon support, given others' experiences…

    • Manged to get this done in an Edge inprivate browser.

Then got a second voucher, and stacked that.. expiry now Sept 2025

  • I haven't had any luck claiming this voucher to use with my existing membership, I have tried all the different methods mentioned.

I have contacted Amazon and they have told me the below:

I can see it here, that you have active Prime membership
that is the reason why you can't redeem the 12 months voucher.
If you want you can redeem this 12 months voucher after your subscriptions end.

    Very frustrating

    • +1

That's not correct, my current membership ends in January 2024, I was able to stack two codes to extend to January 2026.

      • Thats what I tried telling the person on the live chat but they just didn't get it. Not sure why it is letting some people stack onto an existing membership and not allow others. I was thinking if I turn off auto renew it might work, similar to how Xbox Live Ultimate works. Is that possible through Amazon Prime?

        • I turned off auto-renew, didn't work. Turned it back on, still didnt work. Just tried incognito on a PC and worked

          • @Wickadz: That is interesting, I have tried incognito mode but no luck. What format did you put the code in, as I noticed the code in the email is all out of whack

            • @PTG Benny: Yeah I noticed the email code had spaces - I used the code from the email, not the code provided upon completion in browser.

Honestly I think at this point its just luck if it goes through or not.

  • Finally worked after trying multiple browsers & devices.

In the end it worked with incognito chrome on a PC.

  • is there a way to just buy a 2-year annual plan?

  • +1

    Thanks for this…worked straight away

    • Same here, worked straight away with no issues. Thanks to OP

  • +2

This is what worked for me :

    1. Sign out of Amazon account or go incognito (I tried incognito chrome iOS )
    2. Enter https://www.amazon.com.au/prime/promo/landing
    3. Insert your code
    4. Sign in to Amazon
    5. Confirm extension of membership

Note: I am an existing subscriber and paid annually until 2024, now extended until 2025

    • Worked for me! Thanks

We have added 12 Month of Prime membership to your account. Your membership will renew on December XX, 2024. Your membership will renew if your auto renewal is turned on or until you cancel your membership. You can adjust membership settings in Your Account.

      (XX just in case)

    • +1

Thanks for sharing those steps. Eventually worked for me after trying incognito in Chrome on a PC.

    • Worked last night for the first code. I tried to stack up with the second code and it's not working.

  • +2

@Goldberg - I'm not sure how this deal isn't a dupe from the one we've been commenting in but it seems plenty of people in here are able to stack multiple vouchers and multiple people are having trouble redeeming vouchers.

This whole thing seems like a colossal cock up all round.

    • Yeah i seen the dupe post. I've been trying for days with no success. Some have managed to stack 2 x 12 month promos, others in the same boat as you and I.

  • +1

What are the best ways people use to earn Telstra points these days? Does it work for prepaid customers like boost

  • +1

Thanks OP! I accumulated enough points for 1 year and I didn't know until you posted this deal. Lots of reports of issues and that's why it's good to look at the comments section. I used the link https://www.amazon.com.au/prime/promo/landing and then neither Edge or Firefox worked with allowing Amazon to extend my subscription. So I looked at the comments section and installed Chrome. It worked and then I proceeded to uninstall Chrome.

  • Thanks.
Used chrome on my PC using link https://www.amazon.com.au/prime/promo/landing with no dramas.

  • I redeemed this morning smoothly, I used Firefox (my main browser), had no problems, I read comments of people stacking had exactly 24k left so I stacked on top, May 2025 expiry now

  • Thanks OP. Worked via the Telstra app easily.

  • How are you guys able to buy this? I keep getting 404 error every time I click "Checkout" on the amazon prime page where you select either 3 or 12 month.

    • Try different browsers. Chrome, edge, firefox etc

  • -1

Might have been asked before (sorry if I am repeating). I bought the voucher and it says expires in Feb 2025. Its a 12 month voucher. Would I still get 12 month’s membership if I use the voucher after the price increase? Or will I have to pay the extra $20 to Amazon? Any ideas?
