aloSIM Mobile Data Traveler eSim: US$50 Credit for US$27.50 (~A$40.66) @ Affinity Click via Mashable

51

$50 aloSIM Mobile Data Traveler eSIM Credit(opens in a new tab) for just $25 — that's 50% in savings for a limited time

Credit does not expire, and be used to buy data packages from any available country
e-SIM does not expire and can be recharged with Data packs
Data do expire — check website and country for data packages (Example: The $4.50 data package will last 7 days)

The data DOES expire, and you WILL NOT have any leftover data for your next trip unless it takes place within the validity period. While the eSIM never expires, the actual data package is only valid for the length of time stated at purchase (i.e. seven days after activation, 30 days after activation, etc.) So if you buy a seven-day package and only use a tiny bit, that package is still going to expire after seven days.

Because they charge in USD and there's a 10% GST (which the deal poster didn't take into account), it may be cheaper to buy it from an Aussie reseller (depending on your card exchange rate). Note that News.com.au gets a commission from the sale (as does Mashable)

Some useful information about this SIM copied from Slickdeals

    Length of access: lifetime
    Instant digital redemption
Purchased coupon must be redeemed and used within 12 months
This deal is not stackable (one offer per aloSIM account)
A $4.50 data package will last 7 days

I hate when companies do that. The prices seem okay, but just by using lifetime falsely has me in a jiffy. I want to positive the deal but I don’t like lifetime being used in the title even though that’s what they say, so I’m negging. Sorry OP

One other thing that’s not clear is if you get the digital sim, with the $50 credit, does it use it right now or can you use it whenever you like.
