I got the bullet time bundle which was on sale around boxing day. It's good because it can also be used as a selfie stick and tripod on top of the bullet time swivel function.
I bought a cheap 1/4 clamp which let's me attach the camera to a variety of things like bike, car sunroof, tree branches for time lapses etc.
Don't forget to get a set of lens guard.

why is it no one wants to price match eBay? Makes me think eBay is the best place to buy stuff.
Well for one thing, the good ebay bargains are generally only after various codes.. which many are partially funded by ebay. How could you expect a normal store to match/beat?

how do people find the video quality on this? I've heard it's a bit hit and miss. the 5.8K is over 360 so the flat footage is usually a fair bit lower res 720/1080p?
Compared to what? Samples show about same as GoPro and high end iphone but will never reach like full frame low light level performance, physically the sensor is way too small
from what i've seen on youtube, at least via my computer screen, footages from insta360 are indeed a bit more blurry compared to proper action cam filming in 2D.
I wasn't too impressed so just swapped for the 1". Hopefully that's better

If you prioritise image quality, still keep a normal action cam/point and shoot/phone etc
GoPro Hero 11>DJI Action3 but action 3 has a longer lasting battery and can take more extreme temps
The 360 cam is great if you want to vlog with yourself in it / watch in back in VR / reframe in much lower res if you are doing sports and need the angles/view
The X3 is pretty good in bright daylight and comes with 5.7k/30fps HDR recording mode
Dimmer indoors/low light you need to set shutter speed faster and ISO Max higher if not it'll start warbling/blurring as the stabilisation tries to work.
My whole reason for the 1" is to put it on a super long stick for drone like shots where drones can't be used. I mainly shoot when travelling. Just received it and may test this weekend. Took the insta360 X3 on a previous trip but was only ok with it and wasn't too excited about it. Esp when compared to my main Sony cams and dji drone. Hoping the 1" will fare better
Yeah I was keen on the 1" for the better video quality but the trade off of not waterproof and can't really fit in pants pocket killed it for my use case. When researching also came across a lot of people complaining about overheating and shutting down/freezing after 15-30 minutes when recording at full resolution.
