Contact them. They claim to have local support so they can explain it all to you. Their website seems proud of the fact they are non-NBN separate network which they own and manage so unlikely to be able to use other providers on their network.

Have seen this in a few new builds across North Sydney where certain companies put in their own infrastructure for all units and expect you to just sign up to their service via the number and code on the pre-installed box.

That doesn't mean you cannot get an NBN connection setup but have to go through application, costs and waiting periods yourself separately.

GigaComm is exclusive for their customers and they are the ISP. TPG can't use the GigaComm FTTB infrastructure. Does your complex already have nbn?

    • yes. complex already have nbn.

      • Is it nbn FTTN, FTTB, FTTC, FTTP, HFC? If you don't know check here

Doesn't matter, it's a massive con for cash the strata don't need to spend.

  • Company has only been around since 2019…

    • new company surviving covid, must be a front

So my strata had the same thing.
It is essentially its own infastrucure just like Opticomm, TPG FTTB and NBN.
They claim to be able to pump 1gb through copper cable that you already have (you probably have FTTB like I do). Which I got told there’s really no reason that can’t happen to be honest.

But again it’s own ISP as well so you are stuck with them.
After hearing how bad Opticomm is, I’d just say no. I wonder if strata companies get kick backs for pushing this through too.
NBN works well in buildings that FTTB. Stick with that.
