I'm so shocked that pickup isn't available on this "free" item ;)

    • This item is not free. They cover the cost by charging postage.

      • +3

        Thus my ;)

      • +1

        no really!

  • +5

I actually resent the whole 'cover cost in shipping price'. Neg from me.

  • +2

    Not this again…

  • Why is it Fantech mice all the time? Don't you guys have anything more interesting to sell?

  • +3

It shouldn't even cost $10 to post to some places. Rep seems to do this postal profit thing in every deal

    • +2

Thanks for your reply.. Unfortunately, australia post fee is expensive and the item is at australia (not overseas). If I am located in hong kong, I can give you for free without any postage.. Therefore, please understand the situation before you give your opinion. Thanks

      • Have you heard of flat rate parcels?

      • -2

Ive sent a 500g item for under $9 before, with online tracking- so paypal safe for seller.
It should be cheaper for sellers.

        • +3

          Not recently you havent.

500g express post satchel is $9.55. Slightly cheaper if ordered in bulk.

Frankly, if anyone wants to complain about the 40c then I'm going to put my fingers in my ears and stop listening.

        • -2

Didnt realise it was express. Perhaps REP could offer postage options - ie. express and just standard. I dont think many people need to have the mouse the next day. I rather pay a little less and wait.

Im not complaining btw, just feedback. Its not the first time a bunch of people have raised questions about postage cost. I dont really care if the business goes down or not.

  • +1

They would better off offering a $10 product with free shipping

  • +5

What's interesting is that the same deal 3.5 months ago got 40+ votes.

Things change quickly in these parts :)

    • Thanks for your reply.. I repost the same deal as I have receive lots of request to put this deal again.. Thank You..

  • There is a cheaper option (courtesy of Xdefine)

    MC Saite optical mouse $7.80
    http://dx.com/p/mcsaite-usb-optical-mouse-black-130cm-cable-…

And for those who are after an actual gaming mouse can get the Logitech G400 from Dell ($39 free postage) or $35 from CentreCom

  • +6

Payment can be done only via paypal as its provide buyer and seller protrction.

There is no protection or warranty available as the item is "free". If anyone has an issue with the product, you will then refund the money for the product - $0.00. You think we can't see why you've done it this way?

    • -1

thats a very good point….. paypal wont refund shipping charges!
if OP was genuinely advertising a bargain, it would be a $10 item with free shipping.

at minimum, it should at least be $5 item and $5 shipping.

i gotta neg on this point, sorry.

    • +1

Thanks for your reply. If you had any problem, I will refund you by myself.. If not, you are allow to report it to australia consumer right. I have attached my ABN number in the website.. its got all my details in there.. Thanks..

  • +6

Postage at standard auspost rates would cost what, $6 minimum? That leaves $4 to pay employees to package and transport to depot. Take from that whatever it cost to buy in the first place.

Almost drowning in freeloaders' tears on this website lately.

If you're going to neg, do it because its most probably a shit mouse, not because you're "honor" was offended by creative price manipulation.

    • +3

are you on the right site?

    • while i can understand both sides, i don't agree with the "If you're going to neg, do it because its most probably a shit mouse", when voting you should be voting on the deal itself! so if the mouse was say $20, not many +, but if it was say $5 with free ship i would consider that a 'bargain' and would vote +, otherwise you are saying everytime this item is listed you should vote - no matter what the price!
also, these "free just pay postage" items are not going away anytime soon, just consider the deal as $10 including shipping, that's where you compare the deal with other sellers, as for avoiding refunds of full amounts re paypal that's different

      • +2

Thanks for the response.. From my previous post, I have not receive any complains from any of my customer in the past. Therefore, Its unfair to judge the mouse is shit by looking at it. Thanks :)

        • hahaha too funny!

    • +4

I purchased 4 last time and I have no problem with the mouse, compact and easy to use. It was delivered with next day express post too. I use it everyday and quite happy with it. For this price, you don't expect it to be a gaming mouse, but I would say it's perfect for everyday use.

      • +2

Thanks for the response.. Just get back to me if you have any problem in the future with the mouse.. It comes with one year warranty.. ^^

  • +1

so, is it a good offer or not? i need a mouse here.. lol

    • +2

Good offer if you just want a basic mouse. This isn't made for gaming by any means, even though it's styled like one.

You get what you pay for with cheap stuff.

      • oh.. thanks for the info

  • +2

    Good deal, thanks!

The Rep entices us with PayPal protection despite certain knowledge there is none. That is misleading and offensive, and for hours now, the Rep has done nothing to correct the description.

    • +1

It is not misleading and offensive.. Paypal offer buyer protection by able to dispute their transaction if the seller did not sent the right item that they order or the seller did not post their item.

  • +4

Look, the flat rate to post this anywhere in australia is $9.55 (500g express satchel w/ tracking number).

The seller couldn't be making more than 80-90c, and that's by paying regular post of $6.60+registration cost, whatever that comes to. Less if he is simplifying by using satchels and simply buying bulk.

Frankly, you're all wrong about any severe price manipulation. Seller has stated they use Auspost. Look up the bloody prices of auspost before crying foul.

  • +2

I don't know why you're all bitching so much? It's not like the $9.95 is hiddend or anything, it's in the title. I'd understand if it was something like the Samsung Galaxy S3 that shoppingsquare posted recently, where they were selling it for $499 + $50 p/h just so they could say it was under $500. THAT was something to complain about.

I'd be more interested for find out if this was decent for $9.95 mouse as I could go for a cheap but ok mouse for my laptop and the random gaming I do on it.

  • This mouse probably is a fair deal for $10, although a 4-time buyer assures us this is not a gaming mouse. I concede there is partial PayPal protection, but the enticement within the description simply mentions protection. An earlier post rightly says a $10 offer with free shipping would be better. But that would invoke full PayPal protection, which the Rep has avoided.

Just received this in the mail today. What a crappy mouse. Even for $10, this has to be the worst mouse I have ever purchased (even considering the price), and it is definitely a con to call this a gaming mouse.

Firstly, there is no feedback on the buttons, no lights to indicate any DPI setting you have selected (it's almost guess and check), and no software (gaming mouses usually come with software to at least re-program the buttons or set macros).

When I received the package, I was excited. It felt light, but I didn't think anything of it. When I opened the package, that excitement was instantly gone. The mouse is small. It feels odd in the hand. The description mentions that the mouse is weight-balanced, and the box says "weight included". What weight? The weight of the PCB? The cable has more weight than the damn mouse. In fact, when I'm not holding the tiny thing in my hand (and I don't have big hands), it actually tilts forwards because the weight of the cable on the front is heavier than the mouse itself. I figured that 'weight included' meant that it had adjustable weights, but there is no way to change the weight of the mouse.

It includes a so-called 'precision' wheel. What makes this a 'precision wheel', I ask? Is it because it has grooves? Yes, it does, and you can feel the 'click' or resistance as you scroll, but then, every mouse does that. It doesn't make it any more precise than any other mouse.

The buttons on the side are awkwardly placed, and this placement is made even more awkward because of the size of the mouse.

Finally, the appearance of the mouse if laughable. There is an ugly FanTech(TM) logo where your palm would rest, and a "nice" ' 2100dpi gaming mouse" ' text on the left-hand button. Note that the extra ' " ' I placed after the word 'mouse' is no mistake, which makes it look like someone made a typo on the actual product. You don't want to be seen with this on your desk.

I bought a better mouse for $15 on sale before. It had adjustable weights, great macro software, lights to show your DPI selection, and a lazer tuning button to set the sensitivity of the lazer when it was off the desk. I was expecting something similar, but I have to say, I'm extremely dissapointed. This is no bargain. It's an absolute joke.

If I could get my money back, I would, but postage prices aren't worth it. I would rather watch it collect dust, or give it to someone as a thoughtless gift.

I will go back to using the 10+ year-old stock 2-button Microsoft mouse which I got for free. It feels and works much better, and the cable is longer than this. Yeah, they probably cut back on the cost by making the cable short too.
