  • Mmm.. been thinking of getting an upgrade on ny 65" hisense for a bigger display.. is a 75" worth it or rather save up for a projector?

    • +2

My 75 inch TV noticeable bigger than my parents 65 inch TV, but still just little bit bigger than my 1/4 of my 1080p projector screen. Picture quality and convenience still TV win.

      • Was thinking about a short throw… for around 2k and then a screen.. wonder if it is a better buy..

        • +7

Projector is a bit more complicated, you’ll need a light control room for better pictures, where you going to put the projector (ceiling mounted cost more for installation, cable running and accessories), choose screen size and quality, purchase new lamp after few thousand hours ect.
My 110 or 120 inch 1080p projector screen has cinema feel even the pictures quality not as good as my 75 inch TV. If you already has a decent TV, projector is a good option. Otherwise, TV is better for everyday all day use. Just my own experience.

          • @stevelo: Tx for your input. I am renting so I will only be looking at a shirt throw so don't have to worry about cables and so on. I also believe the display is nice in a bit of light but I do have a dedicated room with double blinds.. only concern is that a projector might be a bit big for the room.. sitting from the wall is only about 3.5m far so not sure if spendig 3 to 4 times the money is worth it.

@RenVilo: We sit 3.6m from our 130 inch projection screen and consider it ideal. Immersive! (We dont even own a TV)

Note that Betta is offering a free extended warranty with the purchase of this TV (3 manufacturers + 2 year backup) which I don't think others are offering

Dont select any warranty option when purchasing. There is a process through redemption. Please scroll to the bottom of the page to read on how to do it.

which one better? i mean the LG has bad light banding, will this basically the same or worse or better ?

  • so is this incl free shipping or not?

    • check against my postcode, its free for me

      • $68 shipping for me and doubt this will fit into my suv as the 65" just fitted

  • Hey all, so which would be better, my old Sony 65' KDL-65W850C or this?

    Thanks.

    • +1

From 65 you wont see much bigger screen woth 75 so why not wait for chrap 85?

  • Thanks for the reply, would the picture quality be better, as the Sony is 1080p, although I just thought it would be a cheaper, upgrade as it may have better picture, being 4k compared to 1080. The 75' would but our room rather than an 85' i'd say edit = Would the Sony soundbar also connect?

  • Brings it down to $756.20 using codr SOCIAL22
