LG 27GP950-B 4k 27" 160Hz UltraGear UHD Nano IPS Gaming Monitor $899 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Scorptec

130

The LG 27GP950-B is a 27 inch 4k monitor with a fast 160Hz refresh rate. It's part of LG's UltraGear lineup of gaming monitors and is one of the first monitors on the market to support HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, making it a great choice for next-gen console gamers. It delivers an excellent gaming experience with low input lag, a fast response time, and support for both NVIDIA and FreeSync Premium Pro variable refresh rate technology. Unfortunately, it has disappointing reflection handling, and like most IPS monitors, it's not a great choice for a dark room, as it has low contrast and poor black uniformity. It also has a local dimming feature, but it doesn't do much to improve the picture quality.

Damn, you should work in LG marketing

  • I need a 32 inch 4K 144Hz or above

  • As a gamer, I've been searching for a 4K monitor that can keep up with my fast-paced games.
The LG 27GP950-B caught my attention with its impressive 160 Hz refresh rate and HDR 600. And I'm happy to report that this monitor delivers in spades. The picture is incredibly crisp and vibrant, making even the smallest details stand out. And thanks to the G-sync compatibility with my GPU, the gameplay is smooth as butter. I'm extremely satisfied with its performance for gaming.
It's also great for work from home. I was happy to discover that it's compatible with my MacBook, and the setup was a breeze.
One thing to note, however, is that the size of the monitor may be a matter of personal preference. I previously owned a 32-inch Dell G3223Q, but found it to be too large for my desk and seat distance of only 58 cm. So, the 27" is a better fit for me and my needs.
Another standout feature of this monitor is its color accuracy due to its Nano IPS panel. The colors are vivid and true-to-life, making everything look stunning. From movies to photos to games, everything looks better on this monitor.
It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth the investment for its exceptional performance. I highly recommend it!

    • Other than the size difference you did not like on the dell, was it as good for other areas ? 32" is kinda kool

the screen had some compatibility issues with g-sync that caused it to flash on and off. This was a major issue for me, as it made the monitor difficult to use. Additionally, I wasn't able to use HDR in games and the brightness was too high, even when adjusting the settings. Overall, I found it hard to enjoy the gaming experience on the Dell monitor due to these issues

        • is that with firmware update or they never fixed the g-sync i remember reading about that months ago
