    Wow nice price

    • +6

firey price, would go good with an asus motherboard.

      • +8

Until the motherboard detects it’s using EXPO RAM and spontaneously ships itself back to ASUS in the middle of the night, because they don’t want you using that stuff.

Thanks OP! Im guessing you use GPT to write these posts?

    I bought a different kit, 6400 MHz C32, it was Hynix A-Die.

    • For how much

      • $249.

        • +1

I just bought these recently, these are def A-Die and only paid 219 for this 2 days ago. This is definitely good especially if your running a 4080/4090

          https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BNYWFC91

          • @EDBTZ: you running 4 sticks or 2?

          • @EDBTZ: Thats a damn good deal!

          • @EDBTZ: Whoa! This is 17% off, AUD $187.36 now?! That seems amazing for C32

            • @JownehFixIT: Yep but dont forget you have currency conversion etc. which that would go up but Still decent especially for C32 and A-Die

          • @EDBTZ: Which CPU are you using with this kit?

            • +2

@JPerez: im still need to pick up my parts and waiting on ram to ship but will be using it on a i5-13600KF

This is my build as my budget was $3500

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow Tempered Glass Mid-Tower ATX Case - Black
              Processor: I5 -13600KF

              • @EDBTZ: Nice build!

                I ended up getting the G.Skill Flare X5 32GB DDR5-6000 CL32 F5-6000J3238F16GX2-FX5

                For my 7600X build

                • @JPerez: They seem decent, I assume that's a A-die? They're going for $180 at Skycomp at the moment. Seems like that should be good enough for the time being at least on the Zen 4.

I'm tossing up between a 7700 and 7700X at the moment for a CAD machine.

                  • +1

                    @GeneralSkunk: I'm hoping it'll be A-die. But will be happy with M-die.

Skycomp is sold out and they have $18 postage.

                    I got mine from I-tech at $175 with $15 postage, $190 total.

                    https://www.i-tech.com.au/f5-6000j3238f16gx2-fx5-flare-x5-32…

                    • @JPerez: looks like a CL32-38-38-96 so should be fine

                      • @EDBTZ: Cheers

                        • @JPerez: FYI … To get a Hynix Based Chip(M or A), get a set of RAM that's 6000+, timing looks like X-Y-Y, where X<Y. good example: 6000 32-36-36-96, to get Specifically Hynix A-Die, get 6600+ or even 7000+

note: Hynix DDR5 is the only properly OC-Able chip now. Hynix M is not as good as Hynix A, but better than anything else. Get A-Die where possible

                    • @JPerez: Did you get them already? Can you confirm the die version (M vs A). Just check the last letter of the lot number. Should be the code just above the barcode on the ram stick itself.

                      • @goodwillN1: @goodwillN1Mine are M-die but OC fine following buildzoid's guide for Ryzen timers

          • @EDBTZ: will it work with an amd cpu?

            • @Tokyeoh: You'll need to get the ones that are compatiable for AMD not Intel

          • @EDBTZ: They are not guaranteed A-die. Even the newest one still can come as M-die.
            https://www.overclock.net/threads/what-ram-kits-are-a-die.18…

            • @goodwillN1: Yeah goodwill just had a look at the Ram Modules as i got them a week and a half ago and not really paid attention only to realise they are M Die which is still great anyways cause to be fair i wont be bothered to overclock as they are 6400. been reading a lot of the forums to find out that the Ram modules that we're manufactured in March we're A die but from April onwards we're M die.

Not a deal breaker for me anyways but you can read the reviews on Amazon US to confirm people we're getting A die when they purchased the Ram modules.

              • @EDBTZ: Thanks for checking. Still waiting for that sub $200 A-die bargain then :-(

    • AMD or intel?

  • Does anyone know the manufacturer or die?

    • +1

Those timings look like samsung timings.

      • Is there a list of Hynix A-die DDR5 anywhere?

        • +1

Not sure but anything that runs 6400 mhz c32 etc is most likely hynix a die. Or, you could just google the part number and a reddit thread would probably shed some light.

    • Excuse my ignorance but what does the manufacturer or die matter?

      • Hynix ones are apparently better at tightening timings (and boosting clock speeds really), which is what AMD platform craves since anything above 6000mhz may cause instability

      • +2

For RAM overclocking and/or better timing. Basically, there are different grades of RAM.
For DDR4, the most sought after ones are Samsung B-die.
For DDR5, so far, it appears to be Hynix A-die.

People opting for DDR5 platforms early would probably prefer to get better quality RAM as both Intel and AMD will slowly raise the minimum recommended RAM speed for future generations of CPUs.

        • Thanks. And to @Romiyo.

Think I’ll try get some of these as I’m building a new 7700 system to last for a while.

  • i have the normal non-expo version of this - anyone know the major difference? I can i just set the EXPO myself?

    • The difference is the EXPO profile. Yes you can.

      • know anywhere to get a guide or instructions how to? TIA

  • +2

Good price, paid $209 around a month ago from CPL, no issue so far with my new 7800X3D build with EXPO enabled.

  • -1

Anyone knows how this compares to this deal? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/774231

    • +2

One is DDR4 and one is DDR5, whereas once is 64gb and other is 32gb. Totally different - you will need to work on what type of ram you system wants first.

  • do buying from amazon AU gives full manufacturer warranty? or it will just be 1 year with what Amazon provides? unless you somehow ship the product back to Denmark or wherever it's from since local manufacturer won't accept it as it is not AU stock.

  • How do i check if it is compatible with my laptop ?

    • These are desktop memory sticks. Not for laptops.
