I have these earbuds. They are pretty good for the price. I've had to get different ear tips because my dumb right ear is weirdly larger or wonky and doesn't like even the largest silicone tip, but they sound really good, and the ANC isn't bad at all. There is a fair bit of passive ANC if you can get a good fit. That adds to the ANCness if that makes any sense.
The battery life on them though is amazing. I'll go more than 2 weeks without charging them at all. Go to the gym 4 times a week, plus random usage at home. Great battery life.

I bought some foam tips from Daiso for $3. 30, cut them a bit thinner so they'd fit the case properly and very happy with the results, especially comparing the price to go to something like Comply foam tips.

Currently waiting for the Q45s to go on deal again @ $165 to replace my Taotronics over ears and complete the Soundcore duo.

    • Agreed, these are great.

    • what does ANC do when listening to music/audio?
does it sound better or something?

also can you still hear environmental noises?
and anyway to turn off ANC if you need to hear environmental noises?

ANC attempts to cancel out background noise and as such you don't have to play your music as loud and you can't hear the background noise in your music/movie/podcast. So for example on a plane that loud droning noise gets cancelled out making it a much more pleasant listening experience or even if your not listening to anything can minimise the background drone.

Transparency mode allows some background noise in if you need to hear the environment.

        • does music sound better with ANC on?
or it just so you can listen with lower volume?

if in a quiet room or at night.. ie no/low background noise
does music with ANC on or off sound the same?

Does ANC use more battery than no ANC earbuds?

          • @pinkybrain: I'm no expert, but from what I understand:
            1. ANC doesn't by itself enhance sound quality
            2. Yes. But look at it as a technique to cancel out background noise in general
            3. Probably depends on the quality of the ANC employed… lesser units might introduce unwanted artefacts (eg. slight hissing)
            4. Usually yes.

            • @shake: yeah never use any earbuds with ANC
so have no idea why people who own ANC buds seems to rave about them..

I have use normal wire and wirelss earbuds without ANC
and most of the time don't even hear any background noise anyway.

  • The sale price did have a timer, but it's lapsed and it's still active, so have removed the expiry on this post.

  • These are great.

  • how this compared to google buds and samsung buds?

also the xiaomi and redmi buds with ANC etc?

I struggle to get a good fit on my soundpeats air 3 pros. Keeps falling out even with the biggest tips. Will this be better?
