    OP bought it.

  • All Wagner vitamins are 1/2 price.
Why did you select just one for your post?
Plus some other brands are also on sale.

    • +10

had you been as quick in reading the description before asking the question, you'd have your answer already.I did say its part of this deal here.some people like me might be looking to buy Vit-D.For them this deal is an easy access to the link.

      • I guess I have been slack to read your description ;))

  • +7

I used to buy these but have just started a once a week 50000iu capsule. I take it with K2. A high dose tablet is much easier.

    • Do you need prescription to get a tablet with high dose ?

      • +4

No. I took around 70000iu for two months about my D3 test came back about 110 nmol, which is great. As long as <120 its ok >150 is no good long term.

I just got them off Amazon, US made-

The YouTube link hokonfan posted below is a good one to check out.

        • -2

The guy in that YouTube link is not a doctor, just so you know

          • +3

@yanyan1: A doctor is someone with a PhD. So John Campbell is a Doctor. He fully advises his career and education.

    • +2

I take 10000iu per day (bought thru iHerb) my levels are around 130 to 140 nmol typically. Never get colds or flus and an extremely mild case of covid last year.

      • Cases of vitamin D toxicity are very rare. One I saw from research was a 78yo man taking 10000iu a day for 10+ years. Don't know other factors, his weight etc. So as long as you do your yearly check up and adjust if required your good.

  • +2

Exp 02/2026 for me. Had a snoop for packages towards back of the shelf

  • +9

    Better use 5000IU.
    1000 is waste of money.

      Add in some K

      • +1

D3 needs K2. Should consider adding Magnesium. D3 needs this to be metabolized, and high D3 could impact Magnesium levels. Here's a really good clip featuring David Asprey. I'm looking into doing what he's suggesting.

Note1: Ensure that you secure the right form of a vitamin. There are different forms. Some are not greatly bio-available.
Note2: It's always better to get Vitamins from food, however it's not as simple. Am looking into products such as AG1. The core rationale is that the levels in the product are controlled vs questionable levels in nutrient deficient foods.

    • That's weird, just watched Dr JC this morning - have been on 1,000 and now searching for 10,000 and found this from Amazon .

Just trying to work out whether to pay in AUD via Amazon Currency Converter or USD (using Citi debit card at Citi FX rate) ?

    • +6

And you can buy them cheaper than this on iHerb all the time.

      • Yep and from a more reputable brand.

    • Not sure that reference is from a reputable source. Dude is pro ivermectin treatment for covid and against vaccinations. He is also not a doctor but has a PhD "My name is John Campbell and I am a retired Nurse Teacher and A and E nurse based in England. I also do some teaching in Asia and Africa when time permits. These videos are to help students to learn the background to all forms of health care. My PhD focused on the development of open learning resources for nurses nationally and internationally. "

      • My Doctor, who is a Endocrinologist, highly recommends Dr John Campbell as a resource. All Dr Campbell does is explain the research.

        • +5

Dr John Campbell is not an MD. He can use the title Dr because of other studies but the fact is he is not an MD.

When someone states they are a Dr and gives health advice this is somewhat deceiving as they are banking on the fact that most people will just accept he is an MD.

The easiest way to see if he is licenced to dispense medical advice is to check the UK Dr's register (gmc) and if it states he is a medical practitioner there then he is able to claim he is a medical doctor and legitimately dispense health advice

          • @Chocobros: He has always told people what his career and education are. its been in his Bio since he's been on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/@Campbellteaching/about

            • +5

@Spamazon: Not saying he doesn't. But still deceptive to be preaching to the masses about health as a "doctor"… Passing himself off as an MD.

People should be careful with fat soluble supplements like vit d and k…

Why do you think real medical doctors don't say everyone should take 50000iu vit d and whatever dose of vit k you want per day

              • @Chocobros: from his 'deceptive' bio -

Disclaimer; These media including videos, book, e book, articles, podcasts are not peer-reviewed. I take 50000iu a week. He has never said take that much. Its clear you haven't read any information on this thread. There are plenty of doctors and research who say take Vitamin D, all you need to do is search.

              • +5

@Chocobros: Because that would make most of the medicines pharma reps push to them redundant. Follow. The. Money.

            • +1

@Spamazon: The issue is most people won't pay attention.

          • +2

@Chocobros: Use some common sense and “do your own research”. You know what’s a good place to start? If you don’t want to look like your own doctor ( if they’re fat) better skip their advice no matter how many letters they have after their name.
Besides age, obesity, low vitamin D and low Zinc levels are the highest risk factors in rona deaths.

            • +2

              @Spets: Vitamin D and Covid

              https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8862170/

              Dr Spamazon (PhD)

              • +1

@Spamazon: Yep exactly what I was saying. The journal says: “ Conclusively, COVID-19 patients supplemented with vitamin D are more likely to demonstrate fewer rates of ICU admission, mortality events, and RT-PCR positivity.”

            • -3

@Spets: @Spets a better place to start would be med school…

Just because a doctor is fat it doesn't mean they don't know what they are talking about. What a simplistic thought process…

@Spamazon no one said his bio is deceptive. Pay attention closely and I'll say it again. Someone stating they are a doctor whilst dispensing healthcare advice is attempting to deceive the public… If he was that honest he'd have a flashing disclaimer stating he isn't an MD and everything is just a personal opinion whilst he preaches.

I never said that the fake MD said take 50000iu. I said that no real MD would state it.

You are both on the block list… Not interested in debating with stupidity but merely wanted others to not fall for the trash opinions spouted by someone who is unqualified yet feigning some sort of medical Dr background :/

              • -2

@Chocobros: You throw a tantrum by blocking people debating you, yet you somehow think you won the argument. Ha.

                • @Spets: Why does there have to be a 'winner'?

@Chocobros is saying that someone who isn't a medical doctor shouldn't be giving medical advice while using the title Dr.

You seem to approach this with the libertarian mindset that everything is ok with a disclaimer.

In fact this is not ok, it would be illegal in Australia, because… it's misleading

If you refuse to accept that it's possible someone would be mislead by a 'Dr' giving medical advice, I think you are being intentionally ignorant of the risks, because you are more interested in 'winning' an argument than the merits of the issue.

It is not safe for the general public to take 50,000 iu without any supervision, hence why this strength is on prescription in Australia.

          • @Chocobros: I believe he is retired nurse educator

          • @Chocobros: If an Australian registered MD spoke honestly about the research that John Campbell dares to discuss, he woukd find himself answerable to Australias medical mafia (AHPRA) and suspended rather quickly, hence why most shut the hell up and tow the line if they want to keep their reputation and career.

            • +1

@Bullion78: I'll be honest I'm not overly familiar with John's work be it in published reputable peer reviewed journals or otherwise so can't really comment on his actual content.

AHPRA as far as I know work to regulate healthcare workers and actually aim to protect the public and prevent mistruths from being pushed as fact. I don't work for AHPRA and a healthy dose of reviewing information prior to blindly accepting is always a good thing. That being said this notion of the healthcare system holding back information or that random people with inadequate skill sets being able to outsmart the healthcare industry or outright paranoia/consiparcy theories tends to harm the health of people without them even realising.

My main point of contention is that he may be deceiving the public into thinking his opinion is medical fact coming from an MD and also as an aside that people should be careful with things like fat soluble vitamins when attempting to overload on them without a proper understanding.

              • -1

@Chocobros: Campbell never suggested 50,000IU of vitamin D a week.

      • +5

As someone who followed his YouTube channel during the lockdowns, your information is incorrect. He recommended the vaccines and got them himself. As the data changes around the efficacy of the vaccines in late 2022, when the research showed little value in continuing to get them, his opinion changed, based on the research.

Or you just take 5-10 capsules. Not as cheap as buying from the US, but good if you're wanting to start today.

  • +3

    But from iherb

Better selection and far better value!

    • Recommendations? Didn’t see anything as cheap as this

  • From what I've heard, taking calcium with magnesium works the best…not sure about vitamin K though…maybe I should take some K at the same time as well?

You only need 15-30mins a day

I live in the top half of Australia, lack of sun isn't an issue.

        • I live in the bottom half of Australia, lack of sun isn't an issue.

You might not appreciate that if you have not lived somewhere like northern Europe, where the sun never climbs very high in winter. Going outside in short pants and sleeves on a sunny day helps a lot here. Unless you have black skin - then maybe you need supplements. OR you could just go without a shirt for a bit. The aboriginals never suffered from D deficiency!

    • UV index too low

    • Facts

    • Just be sure to avoid the midday sun… Comes with extra cancer risk :(

      • Midday sun exposure reduces your risk for many different types of cancer.
