These units have improved with latest models
Resonable PVR for the price if you want to record from 2 networks at same time & watch another channel on those networks or play a recording. I have 2 2TB HDD connected.
There has been a problem with CFL & fluro lighting - turning on a light turns on the unit. 36 seconds to boot annoys some. Still you can try for 60 days & easily return.
Can you do season pass/series recording with this?
No.
We bought one quite a while back, it lasted a week before it overheated and died.
What filenaming options does it have with stored recordings - i.e. how do you later know the content of each recording?
Only one year warranty on this one where as people said last years one had two years warranty.

Yes, smaller HDD, but at least it will use it. I bought one of these for my mother and it went back within the 60 days. It would say the unit was full with only a few hours recorded, would decide what shows to record for you and power on and off whenever it wanted. Handy…
I would not recommend this at all. Bought the Beyonwiz lite for her, never had to worry about it again, does everything she wants and simply enough for her to figure it out without calling me :-)

It was hard to find this product within a multi-product deal, especially when not included in title. Resulted in only 1 comment there. (But this unit was so bad.)
Can you record from other sources onto this device? Such as your normal RCA on this?
