Alright, besides a server/s or virtual machines is there any actual use case for 128GB RAM? Genuinely curious here.

      Allllll the chrome tabs…

    • RAM drive for stuff you are messing about such as video encoding etc, where you don't want to affect the remaining endurance of your SSD.

I have 64GB RAM, and use 20GB as a RAM drive. Works well, can have 100 chrome tabs open and still play RE4 at the same time while youtube is playing in the background.

      • How did you do that? 20GB as system?
        I got 64 too….I am thinking make it 128…

    • Running AI models.

  • Computer say's, No.

  • Just what I needed when i woke up this morning, 128GB of RAM for my $3000 ($2k before inflation) gaming facebook machine

  • I was just thinking, “sheesh I just paid $400 for 64GB”. But mine are 6000Mhz CL30 DDR5.
