    Wow… FINALLY!

  • Nice to see, but I see its the Theatrical Edition only..

James Cameron will release the 3D extended cut when he decides he wants more money.

      Order of release:

      1. Theatrical
      2. Extended
      3. Theatrical 3D
      4. Extended 3D
      5. ???
      6. Profit

He also tinkered with the aspect ratio. It's not as wide as it was when it was released in cinemas. Maybe that will be 5.

Gotta say, dropped thousands on a 3D tv and 3D BR in good faith after seeing Avatar, then found out the ridiculous decision by Sony to limit initial release to people who bought Sony 3D tvs only. Then those guys flogged them on ebay for $250 a pop.

Hunting it down online made me the pirate I am today, I'll never pay sony for another 3D BR, period.

    Rant aside: good deal!

"Sony to limit initial release to people who bought Sony 3D tvs only."

      I think you mean Panasonic….

        Yarrr. plmko be right, maties!

Too much rum be scuppering me senses tonight…

        :)

    • It was studio that sold exclusive rights to Panasonic, so blame them.

      • Because they got free use of their 3D cameras to make it

      • If had only 1000 '+'s to use in a lifetime, I'd give you 993 right there…

I remember saying I would pay $400 to see it before release! $28 is just a steal…

Such a long wait for the sequels. He'd doing them back to back releasing them 2015 then 2016.

Then again for a man that made 247 million from Avatar he is probably not in a rush - LOL!

    • bought mine on ebay for 75 total, one fake one real. both play the same for me.

      • one fake one real o_O

you got your money back for the fake one I hope.

  • It was interesting to see the comparison with JBHIFI on price. I have been looking at buying the bluray Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol which JBHIFI have on their web site for $49.99. A quick look at amazon.com offers this title for only US$9.99 plus shipping. This is a region free title: http://bluray.liesinc.net/ . I still find it hard to believe that JBHIFI needs to overcharge Australian families by this amount.

    • Well they don't need to.. but if they can, why wouldn't they? Bastards :P

      Trav

      • … was gonna point out that it's probably because the publisher/distributor is selling it to them at US$40 - but then I see that BigW has it for $35.

So yeah, the publisher will still probably be taking ~US$25-30 from us (compared to ~US$8-9 from US buyers), and JB are collecting a big fat margin on top of that as well :-/

  • JB isn't putting a gun to anyone's head and forcing them to buy. It's the idiots who don't know any better opening their wallets contributing to price inflation.
