    Fire sale

    • +2

As in, “if you use it, there’s a strong possibility of starting a fire”?

    • +2

We could all probably agree at this point that its more of an explosive or "fireworks" sale

    • +1

      Good for winter

    • +9

Good for heritage buildings in the CBD

      • +1
        • DA and demolition included extras
  • +1

All these sales, how quickly are they trying to get rid of their stock lol

    • +2

They set a high RRP and then always have sales. No doubt they are still making money at this price point.

      • They are definitely losing money even they got these for free. Amazon fees alone would be at least $6 each. Let alone all the other costs to get these from the factory to Amazon warehouse.

        • +2

If Amazon fees were $6 then you wouldn't find anything on Amazon for < $6.

          • @Aureus: Find me a product that is FBA (fullfilled by amazon) that is too large to be sent in an envelope and costs less than $6.
If you do, it would be a product they are willing to lose money on to generate reviews/traffic and not a product with many good reviews that already sells well.

    Get around it!

Thats what we usually do in the cold weather

  • I got one of these in the last sale, and while my house hasn't caught on fire, I notice that it doesn't fast charge my Galaxy Fold 3 with any of the cables I have tried (and in either the USB-C or USB-A ports).

  • Burn down two houses at a time

  • +5

So many complains in the comments and yet - not a single negative review :)

I have had three of these chargers for 6 months and so far no fireworks

    Hot deal

Curious to know where these fire comments originated from? I'm out of the loop clearly..

      • Who posted that?? Link to the thread

        • +7

          Who posted that??

Sadly, they are no longer with us.

        • +1

Funny, link is in your post :)

    • Also this

      • that is a news story with pictures of a building on fire. Closest I can see of any relevance to this post is the line where it says something like "it is believed that no-one was in the building when the fire started"

I look at Heymix deals just for the fiery comments

  • +1

If all the hearsay and rumours are true, then this is the perfect match for the exorbitantly, over priced Apple products. Hooray! 🎉

Works with Samsung S23 Galaxy as well? (not the cord)

Edit: nevermind, just found this sneaky deal here for Samsung:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Samsung-Charger-Charging-Adapter-C…

    • Hi, is this deal better? Thanks
      https://amzn.asia/d/6lsHMv0

    • +2

      That is a HEYMIX charger

      • Seems so, however does exactly what I need it to do, compatible and fast charging for Samsung including a cord (not lightning like this deal)

        • I'd suggest reading some reviews and comments. No, they rarely do that.

  • I can’t believe people still actually buy these after all their QC issues 💀

  • Official charger of Surry Hills, NSW, 2023.

    • +1

Now called sloshy hills after all water

  • Would these be good for powering a USB portable stove?

  • Heymix don’t burn me

  • +2

I believe a few of these were in that Surry Hills building yesterday…

    • +3

…conveniently installed by the developer who's been waiting 3 years for approval to build their hotel without retaining the heritage facade

  • +1

showing up as $14.99 for me (Prime deal)

    • same here :(

    We want Anker, not Heymix.

  • Ordered a NanoPi R5C from AliExpress that requires 5V/3A power. Would this one here suffice? I would prefer my new router not to catch fire though. Otherwise what would ozbargainers recommend?

    • +1

Samsung, Apple, Anker, Google, LG … any large scale manufacturer with support / a reputation to protect.

I always throw away any power adaptors I get with electronics from China. Fake CE certs, open them up and the AC side is not isolated from the low voltage side, cheap components. Yes the risk is very low but for the sake of hundreds of dollars over a lifetime rather treat that risk - of a potentially life changing house fire.

Oh and I have had a 65W Heymix pop, they replaced it with a 100W version which I don't really trust. My travel charger is now a Anker 65W with 2xUSBc and 1xUSBA … perfect for me for laptop, phone, and watch.

  • Perfect for the cold nights ahead

  • Had three of these working for the last year or so. No problem. Work well.
