On sale is this Android tablet from Alldocube that has better hardware than the iPlay 50 and iPlay 50S tablets in the same series. This is due to using the MediaTek Helio G99 CPU released in 2022 that offers significantly better performance than the UNISOC T618 (and variants) CPU found in a lot of other budget tablets. This makes it a lot more suitable for gaming.

Featuring Android 12 with Google Play, 10.4" 2000x1200 IPS display, 8GB RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage (microSD support up to 2TB), MediaTek MT6789 Helio G99 Octa-core CPU, 6000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, USB-C, 4G LTE with B28 & Dual SIM, 5MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, dual speakers and GPS

A downside of this tablet is that it doesn't have Widevine L1, so there will be no Netflix or Prime HD.

  • I love these cheap functional tablets. I have the iplay 50 and used it to play LoL wild rift and pubg, works fine.

I like using the M10 more to watch netflix though (and has Dolby Atmos).

Worth getting magnetic charging cable for these as I've heard the ports wear out (mine hasn't from Dec 2022 yet)

  • I wonder whether something like this would be good for a Hime Assistant dashboard… compared to a Google Nest Hub Max.

I know the Nest Hub has a nice form factor, but this screen would look great. Perhaps being plugged in permanently wouldn’t be good, but I’m sure there’s a way to manage charge?

The lack of features is partly what makes it good, but also what makes it bad in some ways. As far as I have worked out there are a lack of smart features like battery/power management. Simple clock features like 24hr time not available.

In short you can use it like a nest hub but features not amazing and for the price you pay you might just want to consider getting a nest hub max…

The colour gamut etc on this screen is not amazing, I find the Lenovo M10 better for a better viewing experience. The image seems a bit sharper

In short this tablet is great for the following use cases that I have discovered/applicable to me:
        Mobile games
        Casual web browsing
Netflix mobile if you can deal with not having HD
        VLC
        Linux ISOs
        In car entertainment/navi tablet
