Did you see if it was on catch marketplace or sold directly by catch?

My email confirmation states sold by catch

Now showing price of $521 for me

  • Good luck getting it shipped with this price error!
I was too slow, but was worth a shot.

May not have been a price error. I got one for around the same price from the last deal posted here. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/747225

      • Ah very good, didn't know it had been here before.

Ive seen it at Bunnings couple weeks ago for 499, didn't think under 200 was even above cost price.

Do we need dehumidifiers these days? It's dry as it is (cold dry)

    We need humidifiers

If you’re renting a place like mine- damp and mould is a headache in winter so these help out :)

      • +1

cold AND damp… sorry to hear, didn't think it was possible in Sydney. All the best!

        • +2

You're out of touch of reality, many homes have humidity issues, also ozbargain is not only Sydney-based

          • +1

@nikoris: yes i already apologised, what else do you want to hear

      • +1

Yep, and the desiccant models are better in winter.

    • +2

Clearly you don't have a basement

    • my house is over 60% humidity always… so no.

    • +2

Coastal areas, valleys, tropical areas, low lying areas, places where it rains a lot or where water may accumulate (basements).

I live in QLD and a dehumidifier is essential to not get mold.

However, to anyone wanting to buy this - Cool season machines are best suited for VIC/TAS or cold places. Anywhere like QLD, get a compressor dehumidifer as it will:
      1. Not heat up your house a lot
      2. Pull more water from the air when the weather is warmer.

Just note that compressor units are far less efficient when temp <20c.

  • It says $521??

        Thanks

  • Missed out. Really need one :(

Watch them on Amazon, regularly discounted there.

  • I ordered mine Sunday last week and my order hasn't progressed yet. I'll have to get in touch with them tomorrow.

I just called Catch regarding my order from last week and they've told me the stockist is out of stock and they are going to need to cancel my order and refund me. That sucks.

      • See my comment below

      • Mine arrived from the stockist today, strange

  • That was a great price, bought for much more last year and don't regret - great units that extract a lot of water at all temps.

  • Missed out

  • +1

I've had my order in since 18th May. Still hasn't been dispatched despite a phone call 19th that confirmed it wasn't going to be cancelled.

I didn't want to post until dispatch as I thought it was a pricing error. Way too good to be true

Bottom line is don't be upset if you missed out

    • Just on the phone to them. Order is being cancelled. Bottom line is no deal sorry

      • Thanks for the update- was yours sold by Catch?

        • Sold and delivered by catch

          • @butwhy: Thanks, I called them today and they told me mine was coming from Ausclimate and would be sent on the 6th, I won’t hold my breathe but we’ll see!

            • @Donaldglaude: Good Luck and report back!

Actually in hindsight, although it was sold by Catch, it did say it was in stock at the supplier, and the webpage stated would be dispatched within 4-7 business days.

              • @butwhy: Mine has just arrived today!

Weird- the tracking never updated, but it was waiting at my door!

  • Got mine delivered today. It was actually in stock about a day after the deal was posted, same price. But after reading comments I again thought it was a price error.

    Either way, thanks op!

    • Yep mine has just been delivered too.
