    $47 EACH?! Ouch!

In general - agree, but also that's good for Hue.

Hue is a premium smart lighting brand… agree or disagree with it, people will pay a premium for it.

I've been in the smart lighting market for a while and Hue are what people desire, and this is a good price for Hue.

Is it worth it? Debatable. I wouldn't dip into the Hue market without either money to waste or an understanding of what I was getting into.

      • so what makes it different, if any at all?

        • Phillips hue has the best colour in my opinion. But for $50+ per light globe, it's not worth it for almost everyone unless you have deep pockets. (I have a $25 Nanoleaf light bulb, and it has homekit support which is more than enough for me.)

      $47 EACH?! Ouch!

      As others have said…

      "cheap for Hue."

      He can afford it…

  • I got a three pack of these with a hub for $99 delivered. Must have been an error.

You got the 900lumen ones … these are the 1600lumen … far brighter.
      $47 is a great price.

  • E27 is sold out online - B22 still available

    • It depends on the stock in your local distribution centre. Still available for me in WA.

    Excellent price and excellent bulb!

Just one word of caution: I bought a white 1600 lumen Hue bulb a while ago. Those 1600 lumen bulbs are slightly larger/longer compared to the standard Hue bulbs. I could not fit the larger bulb into my recessed ceiling can as it would stick out too much.

Best bet is to measure dimensions before buying.

    • This. Have had to return Hue globes before because they don't fit in a lot of covered fixtures designed for 'standard' globes.
