  • I don’t really like my liberty 3 pro’s, I find them to not be very loud even at max volume. I also think they have too much bass even with EQ tuning.

Sounds perfect for the music I listen to; I try not to max out iems because I already have doof doof speakers in my house and car that I turn up too loud. I have Sony XM4, Earfun Air Pro 3 and Airpods Pro 2 for other stuff, and music.

        Same here!

I paid about $132 last time. I'd be tempted to grab this as a spare if I didn't already buy those Beyerdynamic Blue BYRD wired-earphones for $79 last week..

I woke up to my Earfuns chewed up by my puppy. Case is (profanity) but works, one earbud is missing, other earbud is chewed up but still charges in the case. I thought I'd be able to use the one to listen to podcasts in one ear when I go to sleep or whatever but I tested it and the BT connection cuts out. So it looks like I have to buy another pair. Those were my favourite as well. I'm returning him to the shelter.

            @rosebank: Nuuuu, poor pupper! 😅

I've never tried the longer earbuds that look like the airpods. I assume they have an amazing passthrough mode compared to any of the in-ears. Also tasty apparently.. 🤣

@WasBargain: I think the dangling thing is for the 6 mics for better call quality but I dunno

              • +1

@rosebank: Woah, 6 mics?! The passthrough must be incredible compared to what I've experienced with the Buds+, Mini Pro's, Mini Pro HS's or even these Liberty 3 Pro's!

They're definitely the best sounding buds I've ever used. This is coming from someone who used Sennheiser HD555's almost 20 years ago..

But I'm also just over 30 now so my ears are thrashed enough and I use doof doof speakers in every other instance but find these definitely loud enough, even under the helmet on a bike with a loud pipe.

Just wondering too, how did you find the EQ analysis thing? For me it feels sort of gimmicky, but it does work a little..

                • @WasBargain: For these? I dunno, i just ordered last night

                  • @rosebank: Ohhh, I assumed from your first reply you already had them.. I re-read it and understood now that you think it'll be good for you.. 😅

These will be comparable to the XM4's, maybe a little less volume. Sound quakity maybe even better if you get a decent fit with some spinfits or something similar though. I hate foam tips.. just make sure they'll close properly afterwards. I use spinfits and they still close fine.

@WasBargain: Got them yesterday, getting the right fit was a pita but it's nice, and I haven't messed around with the app yet.

                      Also got these: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/385627799772

It also has a DD and BA, very bass-heavy and it does sort of drown out the higher frequencies a bit, but sub bass is great. ANC is decent. App is okay and has a few basic preset EQs, but it sounds best on "Donner Signature". I wouldn't use it for movies/tv. I got the blue one but got another black one for travel because if I lose it idc. It's a only trick pony, but I think it's unbeatable at $32.

I tested it with the first few few tracks of RTJ2 because the production is pretty complex, especially the beat switch on track 2. The transition from track 1 to 2 is fire emoji, and Zack De La Rocha verse on track 4.

        • I got these soundcore ones because of the big driver and BA. How do you like them sound quality wise for music?

  • How's the call quality on them? Need something with good call quality and they seem to be pretty good from reviews.

    • +1

They're pretty good. I used them for my work now instead of my Bose QC35Mk2. Once in a bluemoon the BT connection plays up a little, nothing a power cycle didn't fix.

      • Awesome. Thanks for confirming. Have the same use case.
